EHM 2007 - Your best trades!
Hi, I want to discuss your best trades.
my best trade:
season 2006/2007 with Atlanta:
Kozlov & 4.Draft Pick 2007 for Shark's Cheechoo.
He scored 40 points in 68 games.
season 2007/2008:
Cheechoo for Chicago's T. Ruutu & 1.Draft Pick 2008.
-> I don't know, why they traded Ruutu...ok, he had 7 points in 20 games, but Ruutu AND 1. draft pick- it's super for me. And the Cheechoo's rankings are not much better....

Yeah, I guess this one probably doesn't count since it was during testing and I was just intentionally testing how much a team that claims "We have no plan to trade Player X who is a future core player of our team and future of our franchise." Would need to move such a player and if it could actually be done if you tried to just amke the most outrageous deal you could:
I'll give you everything for Schremp
BTW that screenshot shows my StoneAge skin elements and my Blackhawks team background, both available now inour Downloads section [/shameless project plug]
I'll give you everything for Schremp

I think Wirtz should have love this deal,as it saves him some money... Send him the screenshot, and maybe you'll get a nice job!

Once he blows out one of his knees or his back or his shoulder again and is out for 2/3 of the season, you'll know...u18738 wrote: -> I don't know, why they traded Ruutu...ok, he had 7 points in 20 games, but Ruutu AND 1. draft pick- it's super for me. In januar 2007 traded away 3 second round picks, Daze Zednik, Sutherby, 2 third round picks and 1 first (in the 20ish) for Montoya, Staal, Immomen and tyutin heh. Considering only the draft picks were of any use to me, thats pretty darn good.
To make things better I beat the rangers in the conference final on my way to the cup the year after heh.
In 2008 all 4 players are regulars on my team and montoya is fast becoming the star replacement for kolzig, Staal is only 21 but playing very well on the defense and ofc immonen is just solid on the second like 7.75 rating with 0.75 ppg atm. Tyutin is a good 3/4 dman but still leaves me wanting more from him, but all 4 players are signed cheap and have severel years left on those deals, good times heh.
Ps. Robbed rangers of prucha as well in val bure + few picks around the same time

If you want young guys go after them before training camp starts and they are often undervalued, once they get to camp the team tend to say "Sure, we'll trade him... let's start with 4 first rounders and your two best prospects and work from there."
Teams with cap trouble will swing deals of picks straight up for players to get under the Cap.
Of course another time is when teams are out of the race and have big contracts that will be free agents in the summer. If you can swing their contract demands you can often get 'em for ye ole "pennies on a dollar" so to speak.
If you are looking to trade for someone huge you just have to keep checking and see because sometimes they might drop a guy down from untouchable and that's when the trade window might open. It really is all timing and situational though, depending on what you have to offer and what they need (or think they need).

I´m still in my first season playing the SC right now with Bruins but so far Marc Savard for Michal Handzus. Savard had a 5M$/year contract and Handzus the half. Handzus also went on to win the Art Ross with 104 (51+53) in 82 games. This is a trade which have turned out the best so far. Besides that I have probably made the trade of the year in my game.
Halfway through the season I decided to get a real long-term franchise player. So i aquired the 2007 1st picks from the two bottom teams, Columbus and Islanders. Then i actually got Malkin from Penguins for three 2007 1st picks (including my own 1st pick) and my 2009 1st pick. The deal also included Kessel and four prospects. So I really don´t know if it was a good trade or not. I traded off the possibility of getting Zach Hamill and another top draft but at the same time Malkin has the potential to be one of the best players in the league.

Just finished my first season and listen to this.
I offloaded Handzus, Tenkrat, the rights to Zinojev and my 2010 7th pick and I got Sidney Crosby and John LeClair in return.
How did this happen? Well, Handzus got quite hot on the transfer market after winning Art Ross, Hart and Lester Trophy. Crosby on the other hand was injured six months with a fractured skull.
So know I got both Crosby and Malkin in Bruins.
