Re: EHM:EA Assistant: A saved game editor/scout
I have just found out very interesting thing toying with Assistant. When I start game players PA is different than it is after few seasons. For example, when I start game, McKinnon is pot 176 and in my save after 4 seasons he is only pot 154. Can anyone confirm this? (It might have something to do with the fact, that developement for AI works better than for human players)

That PA rating will go up and down depending on how he is developed in the game. Yes it changes. It changes because of how the player ....well becasue of a 1000 reasons.
As for cap during the game--not that I know of, but I noticed salaries were changed somewhere along the way by garfild.

With cheat engine you may change salary cap, but changes made for all nhl clubs.Mauso wrote:I have just found out very interesting thing toying with Assistant. If someone explain the structure of shortlist file.konnan511 wrote:Is there a reason when I filter and look for a player they don't show up sometimes?
Also, any chance you can have an export to shortlist, because that would make drafts so much easier

You can't Edit anything as I see.
Same with Salary Cap changing it in Note Pad.
Know in Pre-Game Editor in Extra Config you can change a Teams Cap to 0.

That would be a new thing then, as PA didn't change in EHM07batdad wrote:That PA rating will go up and down depending on how he is developed in the game. Yes it changes. It changes because of how the player ....well becasue of a 1000 reasons.
And I can't see how PA would change based on the development (that would affect CA, not PA)...but if things are different now

So now with the 15.4.1.4 version it flat out tells me it can't find any objects or save game isn't loaded. Am I the only one with this problem?

The PA for a player doesn't change or develop during a save/career. Many of the young players though doesn't have a fixed PA in the database and are instead given a value within a range at the start of each save game.

I am sorry...my brain no function, I was thinking CA not PA. If anyone has examples of PA changing I would love to see shots of it from the assistant.

I know PA never changed in EHM07, I'm wondering has anyone ever seen PA change in EHM:EA? Like Mauso saw (see post above)

Yeah, I tested it after reading about it in this thread. Looked at 25 young players, no changes in PA over a four year period from the start of the game.nino33 wrote:Have you tested this at all? Just wonderingIAGTTAYM wrote:The PA for a player doesn't change or develop during a save/career.

In FM, PA can change in rare instanced (and only downwards) if a young player gets a severe injury and is away for a long period of time. Maybe this has been implemented in EHMEA?

Re: EHM:EA Assistant: A saved game editor/scout
So Ive made check again, this is my current roster and best players in it

When I start new game:
McDavid has always PA 188 (so I doubt he has negative PA set as default)
Aubé-Kubel is 152, in my save 157
Landeskog is 156, in my save 172
MacKinnon is 175, in my save 159
also Musil, Konecny and Alexander Nylander have all different PA at the start of the game.

PA in FM doesnt ever change. It is fixed at the exact same number for the whole career of a player. But what are you saying about injuries is correct, because if player experience bad injury in his early years of development or is very injury prone, or has very bad hidden attributes he wont ever reach his PA. So the PA in FM is fixed, but there are cases when player is either too injury prone or have bad personality and he isnt able to fullfill his potential.Rediscoveryx wrote:In FM, PA can change in rare instanced (and only downwards) if a young player gets a severe injury and is away for a long period of time. Re: EHM:EA Assistant: A saved game editor/scout
In the database is PA his -10 (170-200)...and he's not always 188, as he's 185 in your pictureMauso wrote:McDavid has always PA 188 (so I doubt he has negative PA set as default) PA is correct as it falls between 170-200
Mauso wrote:Landeskog is 156, in my save 172 PA is correct as it falls between 150-180
MacKinnon is 175, in my save 159 PA is correct as it falls between 150-180
In the database Landeskog's PA is -9 (150-180) but his starting CA is 156...MacKinnon also has a -9 PA in the database, and a starting CA of 150
Everything seems to be working as it should...PA is Potential Ability and is the maximum a player's CA will reach. A "negative PA" just means a variable PA within a given range, and in every example I've noted above the PA has fallen within the given range (so it's working just fine, and it's not changing in-game).
A "negative PA" does mean a different PA with a new game. That's not a bug or a problem, that's intentional/wanted (it allows for replay value, as well as allowing for the rating of players whose development/peak talent is still an unknown)
Here's an explanation of the Player Attributes, including CA and PA (including "negative" PAs) http://www.ehmtheblueline.com/wiki/inde ... s:_Players

PA can change in FM on rare occassions due to long injuries at a young age. I have seen it myself with one of my prospects using the good 'ole FM scout, and several others have also experienced it. It's not common though. I've played roughly 100 seasons of FM, monitoring every player on my squad's development two times every season and I saw it happening once.

I know how the attributes work. And I checked 10x. 10x I have started a new game and all the players have the same potential- McDavid 188, MacKinnon 175, Landeskog 156...and also Travis Konecny has PA 99 every time, Alexander Nylander 148. Now check the screenie Ive posted and they are both way above that. Please check it if you can so we can compare your results with minenino33 wrote:
I am longtime FM player aswell and I can only tell you what SI has confirmed many times. The moment player is generated in game, his PA is fixed, it never changes and stay the same until the moment he decides to retire. The values you say occur every time aren't even the PA values in your pictureMauso wrote:I know how the attributes work. And I checked 10x. 10x I have started a new game and all the players have the same potential- McDavid 188, MacKinnon 175, Landeskog 156nino33 wrote:

I guess I'm just not getting what you're saying, sorry

I see now. That picture is how it is in season 18/19. Ill post a screenie of how it looks in the beggining but its a bit hard as from those players up there only few are at the same team.

Re: EHM:EA Assistant: A saved game editor/scout
Well, it's a bit off-topic, but I've seen it myself and so has a lot of other FM players. See this thread for instance where a member of the SI-staff confirms that PA can't go up but that "he thinks it can go down":Mauso wrote:I know how the attributes work. Numerous people report to having seen the same thing. Always in connection to a serious injury at a young age.
The other explanation is that it is a bug, but if so it's a pretty nifty one as it mirrors something that would happen in real life, ie a promising young player being severly injured and having the rest of his career compromised - not just in the sense of him missing a few years of development. Imagine a case of a McDavid or Eichel having a severe injury that he never fully recovers from. That's different from having a lower CA once he's fully recovered. It means that he no longer has the potential that he once had. If it is a bug then it is a bug that actually makes the game better. And the way that it works just seems to clever to be a coincidence.

Unfortunately, no..IAGTTAYM wrote:Is there any way that we could get a filter that shows you the players available in the upcoming NHL draft?
You need to do manually by checking one by one player..the best option, is put a personal notes for the player for their PA so you can see the notes when you do drafting.
But, that way, not fun at all..
