Nobody is calling you stupid but you need to be realistic. Nobody here is going to be able to help get that. You need to wait for elicense to get back to you.

You're being a bit dramatic. Whatever.

Everyone else that contacts eLicense seems to be able to get a response from them and has their situation resolved.

Mortex, it's very simple - you can either use PayPal or a credit card. I'm not sure how else you want to pay for the game. PayPal is extremely flexible and supports a wide range of cards and even supports money transfer directly from your bank account. So, if your credit cards aren't working then sign up with PayPal and enter your bank account details to transfer money to your PayPal account. Then go to the webstore (see the link I provided earlier) and choose the option to pay by PayPal.

If you're really not happy with those options then you could send a Cheque to e-License at their US address.

Quite simply, every feasible online payment is possible by using the webstore. What exactly is the difficulty you are having? I don't know what else you expect us to suggest. :dunno:

E-license are actually very fast at responding to users' queries. This is extremely impressive considering that the game is three years old. This post demonstrates this very well (click here):

eLicense were awesome, got me a new license within 24 hours. The only trouble is that now I am right back where I started from, with the game "Stopped working" as soon as I try to load it. I never tried running it in demo mode, so I couldn't say if it had the same problem in that regards.

Me thinks that fate decided for me not to play the game anymore

"To unlicense, go to a command prompt and go to the directory where the game is located. Find the EXE file. So for example if you were unlicensing Title Bout, you'd enter a command of TB2.exe -unlicense. That will initiate the form which allows you to click a button to unlicense."

it does unlicense it but the froum they weren't sure how well the process had worked, so :dunno:
- and it worked perfectly. I just hope it works to license it again when I get a new computer.
That's how I managed to unlicence EHM from Linux. To my horror, when I installed EHM on Linux Ubuntu, I discovered there wasn't a way of accessing the Windows control panel. Thankfully I found a similar tip on the OOTP Forums via Google search. The way I did it was to create a shortcut to EHM and changed the target so it said:

Code: Select all

"C:/Program Files/Sports Interactive/NHL Eastside Hockey Manager 2007/ehm2007.exe" -unlicense
Note that the -unlicense bit should go after the speech mark and not before it.

i guess elicense is just really slow, i asked them to "unlicense" my game on a laptop that got destroyed, and all i got was a confirmation mail that they made a ticket about it. i guess all you can do is waiting with thouse guys. that or if you trust someone, then they can perhaps buy it for you, and you pay them?

EDIT: and i guess i should look if there were a new pages from last time i loaded this thread :p

Maybe if you have a good friend you trust or maybe a family member. But I would strongly suggest never asking a fellow user on TBL to purchase anything for you.

Hey all. I asked this a few months ago.......As far as I know Elicense has nothing to do with helping me get a activation code for my mac. I switched from PC to mac and still have one active license. I want to see if I can trade one for one.

Its been im going to say at least 3 months and no response from SI themselves. Only elicense. They can't directly help themselves. Is SI even responding to EHM questions? Are they still around? Has anyone heard anything at all?

Or do I just keep playing on my much older pc laptop.

I'd keep playing on your old pc laptop or shell out the $35 and buy a license for your Mac. I doubt SI is doing much in the way of support for an old game like EHM. Even if they were, the 2 licenses deal is how the eLicense works. I don't really think it applies to Macs. You're bouncing between platforms. In this instance, it's two different versions of the game.

1) You can't trade licenses one for one. They're handled by two different companies.
2) Mac support is dead, as per Graeme at SI. You can't buy a new Mac license even if you wanted to.

Create a shortcut to EHM2007.exe and change the target of the shortcut so that it says:

Code: Select all

"C:/Program Files/Sports Interactive/NHL Eastside Hockey Manager 2007/ehm2007.exe" -unlicense
You will probably have to run it with admin privileges. It will bring up an e-license window with a button that says "unlicense". Just click on that button (ensure that you are connected to the internet otherwise it won't work).

Elicense Control

Post by Pithius »

Anyone still looking to solve the problem about not being able to access the Elicense Control folder in your Control Panel can get an update from Elicense from the following link:

Posted a bad link, with a high risk file. /joehelmer

Question, joehelmer:

I don't understand how a link to a file located directly on elicense's web site (to fix a problem with an elicense issue) could be considered a "high risk file". Especially when it solves the problem that everyone's been having with this issue.

I do apologise if the link was broken. I'll dig it up again and re-post it. It is possible I inadvertantly posted the wrong link, and if so - sorry!

It was my anti-virus program that had it as a high risk file. :dunno:
So I thought it was a virus file or something, but it may have been a file that it just didn't recognised it.

I don't believe there's any way to unlicense without access to the computer the license is on. My suggestion would be to contact eLicense. From what we've been hearing, they've been good with these situations in the past.

Hi guys! I just bought the game and "elicensed" it. Everything worked fine until I tried to launch the game; it won't start. It says that the game stops it activities and that's it. I patched it to 3.0.4 but the problem stays. I tried to check eLicense, but I can't find it. I read that it should be in your Control Panel -section but I just don't seem to have eLicense Control. Any ideas what's wrong? Should I just contact eLicense? I got the confirmation e-mail from SI and my computer is running Vista (64-bit).

This is a commonly known bug when running the game on Vista.

Righ click on the icon and click Run as Administrator. That should do it!

Also, a bit of searching would've revealed you this even faster than anyone cuold reply to this. ;)

Nope. I've tried that already but no cigar this time. Thanks anyway. I actually did search around but unlike others having starting problems I don't seem to have that eLicence thingy on my computer at all for some reason. Hmm, weird. I did play a crack for some time before buying "the real thing" and it apparently somehow bypassed license check to work, dunno if it has something to do with this problem.

Is it true that you can no longer buy a key for EHM 2007 on Mac? I've been playing the demo on my mac and have been unable to find where to purchase a key. Thanks.

I was able to get my game license back in just a few days. eLicense was quick to emailing me back and all I had to do was provide them with the email address used at the time I bought the game and had the license in the next email sent to me.

The game is installed and working fine on Windows 7.
