Alex is back. Alex sticks head out of his little hole. Batdad aims ...... fires.... scores 1000 points.

Alex my boy...life is fun. It is teenagers that are the problem. Know it all, but know nothing. Teenagers are amazing. I wish the world was run by them. Talk about chaos, insanity, and idiocy.

:-k
Hamill is still developing and looks like he'll be a decent 2nd line player in his time. I actually really like Hamill. He was regarded as one of the top prospects in his draft and by far one of the safest players to take. He's developing quite nicely. :-D

The guy ain't close to safe, he's looking more and more like a bust everyday.

philou21 wrote:Honestly, I don't follow that much the prospect until I watch the draft. :-D But Pulkkinen seems really promising from what I've heard of a couple of fellows here.

Did McIlrath was the guy Danny talked about in another thread? Like the Bruins have spot him? I really don't know him but it seems to be really too earlier to be pick up in the first round.

I'm more curious to see if after the decent draft they got last year if the Habs will destroy this one.

Pulkkinen is a player with high bust potential, but if he makes it he'll be a top line player, so it's a pretty risky pick

Danny wrote:Yes it was him. I don't know if the Bruins are seriously considering him. Seems he's got a mediocre skill-set but is one mean customer. Sometimes it's better to take a gamble on the guy who's at least outstanding in one aspect of the game in his draft class ( in this case physical play) rather than to go for the alleged safe pick. Taking Hamill high in the first in 07 didn't exactly work out for the Bs.
I hope Skinner falls to 15, unless of course the Bruins trade up to grab one of the Dmen supposed to go earlier. I guess Austin would be fine as well.
I'm hearing a lot of talk about the B's loving Watson. He seems like a good B's type of player. I'd love to see the Bruins go after McIlrath but I don't want them to take him with the 15th overall. If he's still there in the 20's, I wouldn't mind seeing them make a deal to use the 32nd overall plus something to move up and grab him.

As for Kabanov... he seemed to be trying to do the right thing for a bit. He admitted he made a mistake by leaving his Junior team and stated that he wouldn't be going back to Russia to play. He said he wanted to play in North America, whether that be in Junior, AHL, or NHL. Then about a week or two later, his agent (who is supposed to be one of the better agents out there) dropped. From what I've been reading, his father is a control freak and is really helping ruin the kid's career. He's going to be a risky pick.
Anything Kabanov says needs to be taken with a whole salt shaker, if his dad is the puppet master, you can't really trust what he says.

Haha Batdiddy, I jest I jest.

Though if a bunch of teenagers were running the world, there would be no war in Iraq. Only Bush was stupid enough to tread that water.

They'd be too busy getting stoned and playing video games to go start a war. Companies like Hostess, Mars Candy, and Pepsi-Cola would rule the free world. Not that Pepsi and Coke don't rule it already.

And Wal-Mart. Kids gotta go somewhere to buy their rubbish.

I don't get the whole "drug" aspect of teenagers... never appealed to me. Like I went to a party last night where everyone was stoned and smashed, exception being my friend and myself, who were both driving. I had to pull my best friend out of the hot tub because she had 5 guys trying to wheel her, meanwhile her boyfriend is passed out in the basement.

I don't get the drugs part at all, and I don't really drink either.

On topic:

Pulkkinen looks like he could be an excellent player soon.

Kabby just needs an agent that isn't his dad and he could be a darn good player.

I actually know nothing of stoned and playing video games. But if I am drunk and get my hands on a controller, I'm like that episode of Family Guy where Peter is a drunken piano virtuoso.

Forgiveness for keeping the thread off topic, it's kind of what most of the Maple Leafs staff will be doing on draft day.

Sutter always keeps busy on draft day too, I wonder how many more ways he can detriment the Flames organization.
