Commish Mode?
it would be cool to have a commish mode. This is one of the things i loved about ootp. You create your own commsih with whatever name and try to grow the game and league by expanding and changing rules. It was almost like a game within the game.
commissioner mode you can,
-expand league
-change rules
-manually vote on awards and perhaps create new awards that we can hand out or base on a particular stat.
-schedule games
-suspend players
etc etc.
Then in a screen it could say the history of commissioners/presidents of the league like
____________ 2011 - present
Gary Bettman 1991 - 2010
This is way ahead of what your thinking im sure but in expansion it would be great to have a shortlist of cities that shows how much they want a team, and a shortlist of owners with their wealth and personallity.

If it's implemented like it is in OOTP (OOTP X, at least), it shouldn't be all that hard to do. From what I've experienced, it's really just a toggle that controls your access to league-editing functions during the saved-game. Commissioner mode on = full access to league editing tools; Commissioner mode off = limited editing after league creation; Normal GM gameplay.
Of course, expanding that idea into an actual role in the game could be a lot of fun. I could see it getting pretty extreme, though, considering the all the configurations and rules people could end-up wanting

Overall Score for Market Attractiveness: C+

to build any type of commish mode you'd need to have a "business to hockey" section showing all aspects of that for the teams and league.
I've always loved looking at these games as a business, which is probably why i enjoy OOTP so much.
It would be great if dabo was able to add a setup like this at forbes
I don't know if you have any interest at this at all dabo, but i really hope you do
one of my goals in ootp wasn't only to build a contender, but to build the sport in places where it is dead. At the very least i'd love to have a basic profit by year for each team saying how many millions of profit of loss was made. Still, i understand that you can only do so much and that this would be a lower priority.

i guess it's just the bigger picture scenario...instead of building just one team, you try and build an entire league. It's not something that dabo would be focused on im sure but would be cool.
Having a commish mode would just put you in control of everything to customize anything (like in ootp)
