Ever since becoming the Commish/Host of the DMHNL, I always thought it would be very interesting and competitive to take it to the next level and have two leagues (now called DMA and DMB). The GM's who are in the DMHNL at the current time will remain with their current teams. Everyone who is on the wait list will then become GM's in DMB. Essentially, the top two GM's in DMB every season will be promoted to DMA and the bottom two teams in DMA each season will be demoted to DMB. This allows for GM's to be competing against other GM's of similar experience and activity as well as for GM's new to EHM Online to learn the new aspects that online play brings before going against the "online vets".
I had always thought that this would be the next big step for the league after joining forces with TBL. A couple of months ago it was brought back to the forefront after being asked by TBL Admin bruins72 if we had ever considered it. After some careful planning and seeing the growing interest for online play, it then became a reality.
I would like to thank Lloyd (Cream) who will now become the DMB Commish/Host. He has been heavily involved in the DMNHL every since he joined in 2022 (5 seasons ago) and recently won his first online cup with the Minnesota Wild. He is now the GM of the New York Rangers in DMA in a goal to rebuild them to Stanley Cup contenders once again. He has also been involved in NBHL & NBHL2. You can contact Cream via TBL PM.
We plan to start DMB "in sync" with DMA at the begining of next season (which will be about 2 months time in real life). A copy of the "transition" rules for DMHNL A/B can be found here.
We currently have a wait list to join the DMHNL that consists of 11 GM's. Over the next two months, we would ideally like to push this so we can start the league with a full 27 GM's. You can sign up by following the instructions here.
In the meantime, if any of you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to PM either Cream or myself.
