Forum rules

Introducing 3d style Logos!

I always wanted to add an extra oomph to the flat, 1 dimensional logos that appear in game. Well, I've done that thanks to some time and effort, dedication and the aide of Adobe Photoshop.

I've used them in game for a while, and like the added details. Now I'd like to share them with the membership, starting with 3d style logos for the News reports that appear in game. I've uploaded files that cover the NHL, AHL and ECHL teams right now - here's a few pictures that showcase them:

I tried to stay as true to the original logo as possible. I think they enhance the experience in game. You be the judge.

More are coming soon including News logos for the OHL, QMJHL and WHL, as well as regular logos (the ones that appear on the team pages, the schedule, etc.) for the NHL, AHL, ECHL, OHL, QMJHL and WHL.

They've been tested in game, and I haven't encountered any issues. Send me a PM if you discover any problems.

Thanks, Bruins72! Here are logos for News events covering the OHL, QMJHL and WHL. They should be available soon for download from the 2007/News/North America database!

If you notice two of the same logo for the Portland Winter Hawks, it's not a mistake, the spelling difference covers the default database and the Lidas database.

Edit: the file structure inside the archive is wrong. There is no \data\pictures\logos\clubs\**league**\ subfolder in game folder. The correct path is \data\pictures\logos\clubs\large\**league**\.
Or what size these logos should be?

Sorry I didn't respond to this earlier!

Actually, the instructions included in the News logos archives is correct. The directions will create a new folder that will place the logos in the correct location for use in game.

These logos are for use with News messages only - there is a specific directory that is created (the game does not create it in install by default) that allows for the use of these logos in news events. They are only good for this section as there is a specific size for the logos in news events (200 pixels X 200 pixels or less). The complete directory structure for use of these logos is:

[drive name]:/Program Files/Sports Interactive/Nhl Eastside Hockey Manager 2007/data/pictures/news/clubs/[league name]

Don't try to use the news logos for use in the titlebar, or other areas of the game, as they are not sized appropriately for other areas and will not display correctly.

I've recently uploaded logos for use in game for the titlebar, team pages, game matches and calendar. Look for them in the logo section of downloads page.

If anyone has any problems using the logos, feel free to PM me.

I'd totally download this if you could brighten the colour a bit, they look to me a little too dark, just my opinion
