I run both the Red Wings and Griffins. An unbelievable number of penalty minutes for this guy:

Given total possible minutes is 3780 he pretty much gets a penalty every time he goes on the ice lol.

Sooooooo.....my Griffins are currently up 1-0 against Rochester in the second round of the AHL playoffs. This, after a 74 win season (we were monsters this year). All of a sudden, my backup goalie and a scrub defenseman (the same one from above with over 1200 penalty minutes) seem to be unhappy because of our poor league position and we seem to underachieving. Take a look at the screenshots...anyone ever seen this before? It makes no sense to me at all why these guys would be unhappy, especially for the reasons they are giving. :-? :dunno:

That happens to me every year on my AHL team. The players that aren't under contract with my main club get all upset around playoff time, even if the team is cruising.

Is there any reason for this, or is it a bug?

They are upset about the NHL team they are under contract with, not the AHL affiliate.

I thought the game just filled the roster with "grayed-out players", guess I was wrong!

I think this happens when you run out of players during a game. Don't quote me though.

Yes, it happens when too many of your players get themselves into the penalty box. Usually it happens when playing with minimal roster.

The two players I was referring to are not under contract to an NHL team, only with my AHL team.

Playing my SM-legue team with no real names, just happened to notice that.. the draft was pretty euroetastic. First North American being drafted at 30th pick and all :P The first pick was my prospect tho.

It's because the Euro regens from the retiring players at the rtart become draft ready before the NA ones. In one of the coming year It's the opposite as the NA ones becomes draft ready.
Lidas tried to fix it somewhat in the latest patch.

In original db, Kärpät had player called Matti Nykänen. I really hope that he wouldn't start singing or stripping when his career is over. :-D
