DMHNL -- Insider's Report --- PO 2028-2029 -- 1st edition

Headlines Around the League:

- The launch of DMHNL Insider's Report, this column will act as a central news centre for the league. Hopefully this will allow GMs around the league get a better feel for what's going on in the league and be more active.

- After the Pens' 1st round meltdown, their GM Smith has checked himself into a rehab centre with a couple of so called "Super-Models". The Pens will probably be looking to make some changes to their roster in order to compete in the East.

- In the East, GM Jones is not very happy over the teams failure to make changes to their line up due to the PO scheduling. There are rumblings that scheduling game 5-7 without the ability to make changes does affects a team's chance to capture a series. Could this issue be a topic of discussion in the next GMs meeting? Our reporter suggested that their locker room atmosphere in those 3 games were lacking veteran presence and character was more likely the key to their downfall.

- While GM Bry Purser's man crush on Nichols is well documented. A report out of Long Island is that he is looking to move him so he can concentrate on his daily managerial duties more.

- GM Moore's failure to take advantage of the injured Blues in the first round have some members of their Board questioning the GMs strategy of assembling a roster similar to his days in Buffalo.

- In other PO news, the Kings line up is almost healthy. However their GMs will have a dilema on who he will take out of their lineup. Greco and Lindholm has been playing superbly.

- GM Manimal will be doing a short scouting trip in the France in the coming weeks. Maybe he meant Switzerland cause all you will find is frommage en France non?

- The Bruins will surely miss their GM as he will be doing an extensive scouting trip in Asia and Oceania. Apparently, an interim GM has been hired to take care of the team in the offseason.

- Reports out of Newark is that the Devils are very high on a particular goalie in the coming draft

- In Vancouver, GM Big D has started overhauling the troubled franchise. It must be a huge undertaking since we have not been invited to a press conference from the Canucks since his appointment. Hopefully, we can get an update from him soon.

- "We're not the door mat" GM Krogar promise that next season will not be like the last. He believes the organization can be turned around and is willing to consider almost anything.

Top 5 Playoff Power Ranking:

1- Image After their powerful offensive showing in the 1st round how can they not be ranked at #1
2- Image The clean sweep over the Yotes shows the class of this organisation
3- Image The emergence of young Bolduc is a revelation in the PO so far
4- Image Impressive comeback over the Sens. Most people are still wondering how they did it
5- Image Taking care of the runner up finalist for the last 2 seasons was no small feat

- Ducks' PP was very efficient, scoring 11 goals against the Flames
- Damien Bolduc's eye-popping 1.75 GAA in his first taste of the PO
- The Leafs 2OT win over the Sens showed great team character, but will they have much more.

Trade Rumours:
- Big rumour out of Boston, a high profile GM is making a huge pitch to obtain bluechip prospect Allison from the bruins.
- Canes are looking for an overhaul, some vets/big names are moving in the offseason
- The Hawks are still wanting to shed some more salary so come knocking
- Blues' Subbotin won't be offer a new contract

This looks absolutely fantastic. Nice job!

I've moved this to the Site News so everybody can see it. I hope you don't mind, but I resized your image to 600px wide (anything larger breaks the News page).

Awesome Vic! The answer to the Kings lineup question was the reluctant pulling of Greco from the lineup. Hated to do it but 3 rookies in the top 6 needed to give way to some more proven talent in Kosik.

You can also add the names of star C Lukas Demers (thanks to Lindholm and Greco's performance!) and top 4 D Phil MacKenzie to the list of available players this offseason.
