Post by hcdfanatic83 »

Ryan Miller has politely declined your invitation to join the national team.

Thats what i get when i try to get him on the national team...

and the same thing happens with almost every star player.
Does anybody know why?

btw im sorry for asking so many questions but the game is just so awesome and i wnat to get the most out of it.

This is common in real life too. In some countries and for some players the National team has more appeal than others.

Some star players don't want to take the risk of injury for something they consider a second rate tournament.

Tasku is right, I've noticed this being more common when you play as United States. This is the same as in real life as it was a long time ago since US had their best team available in World Championships.
When it's time for Olympic Games or World Cup it's another deal then all the stars wants to play, I think.

In general you could say that North American hockey nations care less of international tournaments than the European countries.

I believe Al Coates said once "Our guys (Canadians) who play in the World Cup are guys who don't like to golf".

World Cup has usually had a little more star players than the World Championships, but I get what you're saying. :-D
