Headlines Around the League:

- The Hawks’ GM had nothing but praises for the Cup Champion and vowed to make changes to better equip his team next year. “Vasicek was great, the Bruins’ offense was stronger than my dmen and the injury of Miller didn't help our defense either. Morin was not to blame, he was left to defend without much help from our D. We didn't have enough strength to push the Bruins forwards away from our net.
- DMHNL head office is reporting that DMB will be ready to start shortly, so be on the lookout for a news release soon.
- Mercurial forward Dimitri Moskalev is already creating tensions with the Leafs management. His agent is suggesting that he was under the impression from GM Thayner that his client would be a key cog with the team but was told it's not so in their recent meeting. It will be a challenge now for the Leafs to resign this pending UFA now.
- After their unsuccessful PO due to key injuries, the Blues are looking to add more punch to their Defence. They are willing to pay for a top Offensive Dman. Perennial allstar Subbotin is being shopped around, he still wants to play until he’s 40.
- The Kings have hired a new mascot to help raise their profile in Southern California and the world. Their marketing department will be launching this high profile campaign shortly. They predict that this campaign will be more successful than the Mighty Ducks marketing campaign in the 80’s.
- GM Slava is ecstatic over the Sharks’ turn of fortune in winning the draft lottery with the 1st round pick they received from Montreal. Experts are predicting that they will be selecting either Carson Burgess or Blake Cohen. Both of these dangerous playmaking C prospects should be able to contribute right away for the already talented Sharks.
GM Interview:

How would you rate the Flyers performance this season?
GM Keith- I would said I was generally satisfied with my D pairings, but not my scorring or consistency. We will need to retool the 2nd & 3rd lines in order to get into the PO. Getting Nash as our starting goalie will hopefully resolves our GAA .
What are some of the holes in your lineup that you will need to address?
GM Keith – On the top of our wish list would be a tough two way Dman, LW & center all to fill 2nd line. The East is getting really tough so getting physical players will really help our chances
How would you rate your prospects currently in the system?
GM Keith – Overall, I am not really comfortable with the quality of prospects in my system. Currently we are re-assessing our scouting strategy and development
