UK?

Does anyone play in the UK leagues on here? If so what leagues would you advise running along side it.

Also how has everyone done when playing in UK?

I mostly play the UK leagues. Using patch 2.1.2, i usually cruise it with Cardiff, though struggle a bit more with Newcastle or London. Have never missed a playoffs yet.

Depending on how many leagues your able to run, i would reccomend having Germany, Sweden, Finland running in Europe, along with the NHL, AHL, ECHL and Canada. They are mostly the countries you would expect to pull in your imports from when playing a UK game, especially the DEL and the ECHL.

I started with London and have been successful. Running all leagues and through a couple of patches, currently on 2.1.3.

2005-06 2nd in EIHL, knocked out at group stages of UK Cup and playoffs
2006-07 2nd in EIHL, playoff winners, group stage of UK Cup
2007-08 1st in EIHL, playoff winners, UK Cup winners
2008-07 1st in EIHL as of 1st December, semi-final's of UK Cup

I am leaving the team now though for Sweden and build my reputation up better I hope. Sad thing is, my top British players are not rated at all by the AI so their future looks bleak and makes me want to stay just for them! Without naming names (if you want to know who they are, search for my thread over on SI), my top two Brits have scored in the EIHL and Cup, including playoffs -

218GP 95G 100A 195Pts +93 48PIM 7.65Avg
212GP 89G 108A 197Pts +102 155PIM 7.54Avg

They are very available at the start of the game and also cheap as chips.

If i was to hazard a guess, i would think one is certainly Colin Shields.

The other i would have initially said David Longstaff, but Vipers put a hefty price on him, so i would guess either Ashley Tait or Jon Phillips?

Wrong, wrong, wrong, wrong. :-D One is a young center, the other is a winger. The center I found myself and the winger came to me on his own for Training Camp. Believe me, if I had seen that winger outside of camp I would not have looked twice at him at the time. Tait is the only one there I did get hold of, he had one good season then flopped big time last year.

Even though those players are awesome as you can tell by the stats, the AI just doesn't see it and I fear for their future with me in Sweden now :dunno:

Gary wishart always seems to be good in my uk league net game he is the best brit and just about alwasy seems to be a good player when I have loaded a new game. i think he could be the center. Of course also it could be Paul Berrington.

the winger at a guess maybe Greg Chambers, Stephen King, Ashley tait, graeme newell, jothathan phillips etc

I'm right let us know if not maybe another clue.

No right answer yet. But I just started a new game to check on something and those two players have random attributes at the start! Bit of a bugger to learn that really as I hoped I'd found some real gems here. With that knowledge now I don't suppose it matters too much to post their names now!

The winger is Andrew Howarth and the center is Stuart Low of Invicta. They have generated as very poor players over the past three New Game's I have tested but here is how they turned out for me - Howarth ( http://server5.theimagehosting.com/imag ... th-att.jpg http://server5.theimagehosting.com/imag ... -stats.jpg) & Low ( http://server5.theimagehosting.com/imag ... -stats.jpg

I think I've hijacked this thread for long enough :-D so let's get back on track with how everyone has done in the EIHL.
