Everyone is an RFA?

Post by helmespc »

I did some searching around here to see if anyone has seen this phenomenon..... but didn't come up with anything, so sorry if I'm covering something that we've already gone over here....

I just started a new game a few weeks back with the Lidas 2009/2010 DB 2.2 (I'm pretty sure).... and everyone shows up as an RFA when it comes time to renew their contracts.... I don't know if this is due to the DB, my prior use of the free agency util, or maybe just the fact that I have some sorta frankenstein data directory.... anyone else seen anything like this? Will it clear up after a few years?

It has very probably something to do with your use of the free agents utility.
Both DB itself and your frankenstein data directory should be no problem.

Yeah..... I was just somewhat confused since I hadn't actually used the FA utility on this DB since reverting back to the original data directory.... I'll be interested to see what happens over the years....

How many of the RFA'S get signed by another Team meaning you got a Draft Pick or Picks in return?

As far as I know, the AI will never attempt to sign your RFAs.

I was losing rights to unsighed RFAs in like late July for some reason.... after about year 4 it cleared up and things are normal now... Still not sure what that was about. Computer AI never tried signing any of my RFAs...

I've seen it once before. I can't remember if it was a challenge game or not. I had an ai team offersheet a player of mine. I tried to match but it wouldn't let me and I lost the kid. I forget which save it was, but it was quite some time ago.

I know this happens to me when I try hiding player names and do a fantasy draft, but I assumed it was just because I did those things. You did neither though so I really don't know how this is helpful :dunno: :-D.

Actually, I did both those things... so you're probably right... interesting.
