I'm sure it's the scheduling bug that makes the game mix up the home and away team when countin the wins,

Finland has a bad luck against Czech Republic. First they lead 3-0 and after 2nd period it's 3-3. Teppo Numminen scored 5-3 into empty net at 59:09 but Czech Rep. comes and ties the game at 59:54.

Only mistake is that to be realistic the opposite should have been Sweden. :-k

The opponent doesn't necessarily have to be Sweden in order to get Finland screw up a game.

I was in game searching the last name Schenn, to see how Brayden (Lukes' little brother) has been developing with the Los Angeles Kings when I saw a third player with the last name Schenn.

Image

I noticed right away that hes from Saskatchewan so I googled right away to see if Luke has a 15 year old brother but he does not. The next thing I did was pulled up my Pre-game Editor to see if this player is even in the database but it also turns out that he is not. What are the chances of the game generating another big aggressive Schenn from Saskatchewan?!?!??
His CA and PA is 12/32 but I can't help but bump it up to 15/152 with the saved game editor and so can now watch this guy develop into the NHL. I'm so stoked!! :ohyeah:

i signed this 26 year old swedish player who was ripping it up in the SEL. Wasn't good enough for the show and he played about 30 games in the minors and did very well. I had an injury and called him up and simmed a number of games...then i noticed he was doing amazing!

Image

so i quickly thought i can get him to a big longterm contract, and got him to sign a 7-year big money deal. He was leading my team in points and goals. What a deal for both sides...

Image

...or so i thought.

I looked at my team stats on my team page and was admiring his great stats. Then i thought, well he's probably leading the league in points. So i look and Ovechkin is first with 33 goals in 50 games, and next is Mueller at 29. hmm, my guy had 30...that's weird. So then i go to my Toronto Maple Leafs stats page from the league statistics and to my surprise this is what i see:

Image

...oh S#%@. This guy doesn't deserve to wear the number 13 on T.O. :( damned glitch :-D Some people might find that frustrating but what can you really do about it but laugh.

Weird. At least money doesn't mean much in the game. You can jut bury him in the minors...

i wonder if my "fans" would care if i trade him. Funny because on my team leaders page in history and single season points and goals he's leading as well.

either way It'll make the game more difficult if i keep him. He's a decent 3rd-4th liner. But I'm too proud a GM to send him to the minors and admit my mistakes. Instead i'm going to play him on the first line and 1st powerplay unit. That'll show them! :-D :\ - boy, i'd fit right in as a real GM in the NHL with that attitude ;)

whatwasthat, i wonder if the leafs will draft him? They better! They missed out on one schenn. They won't miss out on his fake brother, too! lol

I have no picture, but there was an interesting thing in my game: Coyotes' Enver Lisin scored 56 points in 82 games and he won Calder Trophy. That's ok. BUT he hasn't been choosen to Rookie All-Star Team!! :-o Bobby Ryan took his place as right winger. Ryan scored 28 points, but he had better +/- and better average rating.

It's still kinda funny :-D , maybe the Cold War had an effect...

To second another post, that is an epic fail on the PP too!!
It was a multiple overtime game. The winning goal was scored in the 6th Overtime.

I generally get about 40 shots a game though.

That explains everything then! For some reason, I didn't even consider that...
