They're smart to wrap Seabrook up long-term.

Yotes acquired Klesla for Upshall and Lepisto I think, great steal. Upshall doesn't worth anything so it's basically Lepisto for Klesla.

Kings traded Teubert and their first rounder for Penner. :-o That's wayyyy too much for him.

WOW! That does seem like a very steep price for Penner. I mean, we're talking real life Penner, not EHM Penner (thinking back to how good he was in our Oilers challenge a while back).

I don't know if Teubert is getting any good, anyone heard of him? Still, even a first alone to me is really high for him.

EDIT: There's also a condition draft pick for 2012. :-o

he's a top 4 in my ehm 2007 league with the bruins.. other than that i get the impression he's a solid top 4 Dman prospect who can also be a bit of an enforcer.

God portugal was so legit :-D

Canucks acquired both Higgins and Lapierre who didn't last long with the Ducks.

Nucks give a third round pick and a D that I don't know who it is for Higs and for Lappy the give Joel Perrault and a third.

Atlanta traded Modin for a 7th.

I was wondering if Higgins would get dealt. Doesn't he have a broken thumb? I didn't know if that would curb interest in him right now.

No I think that will be going to Skinner.

I think the finalists Will be Skinner, Couture, and if he continues his play, Reimer (it might be the 'Leaf' in me talking, but with the way he's been playing he should be considered in among the finalists, especially if he can the Leafs into the playoffs.)

Reimer is doing a good job so far but I doubt he got enough games played to be candidate. Of course Skinner will win it he's doing so darn well.

He's played in 21 games so far and Wilson has pretty much said he's riding Reimer to the end. Skinner's been too good for this happen, but wouldn't an all-Goalie Calder finalsts be cool with some combination of Crawford, Bobrovsky, Neuvirth and Reimer?

Did Neuvirth can be a candidate? It would be cool to see just goalies in the finalist but surely it's not gonna happen, too bad. :-D

wikipedia wrote:To be eligible for the award, a player cannot have played any more than 25 games previously in any single season, nor have played in more than six games in each of two separate preceding seasons in any major professional league.
Neuvirth played 17 games last year and 5 the year before that so he is eligible. (also NHL.com has him listed as a rookie.)

Bobrovsky is going to be nominated I think. Although I think he is abit overrated.

More bad news for the Canucks on the injury front. Manny Malhotra took a puck in the eye and is out indefinitely. :( He had a minor surgery yesterday and was to see a specialist in the afternoon. As of this time no further details but to me it doesn't look good. I know why some players don't wear visors but I sure wish more would do it.

And we thought the NHL Western Conference race was tight. (4th to 10th seperated by 4 points) I just checked the AHL standings 3rd and 13th are seperated by 5 points! 3rd to 5th are at 82 points, 6th to 8th are at 81 points 9th is alone at 80, 10th and 11th are at 79 12th has 78 and 13th has 77

In the case of malhotra i think the word "see" a specialist is kind of funny... =D>
