Reason: Amended title to reflect that this applies to the freeware version of EHM.

Re: How can I change the Year ?
Actually, the start date can be changed in the freeware (1.16).
I don't remember what file you need to edit, though - it's been ages since I've done it. Try searching around on http://www.fhockey.com/. They're the best place for the freeware EHM.
Or better yet, check the roster update's readme file, if it came with one. They should definitely have instructions in there on how set the proper date for the rosters.

Re: How can I change the Year ?
I always read here that the year cannot been change.
And that we need to adjust the age of the players instead.

Re: How can I change the Year ?
In EHM 2004, 2005, and 2007 it can't be changed, but in the freeware it can.
It requires editing of one of the config files, but it can be done.

Re: How can I change the Year ?
It's been much too long since I've done it; I don't remember what file it's in. And I can't get EHM to run, so I can't really check, either.Jypfan92 wrote:Can you tell how to do that?
It shouldn't be hard to find, though. Start a new game with your updated rosters, and then save it. Exit EHM, and go into your 'saves' folder in the main EHM directory, and you should see folders for each of your saves. Go into the save you just made, and take a look at any *.ehm files. I'm assuming those are the ones you'll want; They're just text files. If I'm remembering correctly, one should have the year at the top (2004, in Road Rage's case). Change this year, save, exit, and then load your save.
Again, it's been so long since I've done this, so I don't want to guarantee that this is how to do it. And I can't start EHM on my PC, so I can't have a look for myself. If you get really super lost, try zipping your save and emailing it to me (address in my profile), and I can take a look for you.

You could try This (valid download link Here).Road Rage wrote:And a new one, can I put some Shoot Out ? Because I have some tied game and it's sucks pretty hard ...
That's probably the best you can hope for, since to truly add shootouts to the game, it would surely require hacking and altering the source code.

Re: [Freeware] How can I change the Year?
The league.ehm file is only a part of the freeware version's structure. The new versions (EHM 2004, 2005, 2007) won't have it, and don't have a way of changing the start date.
