Discuss all aspects of editing the data and databases in EHM here. Have a question about the EHM Editor, EHM Assistant, editing the .cfg files, hex editing the .dat or .db files? Want to tweak the EHM exe file to change league rules/structure, start date etc? This is the place!

I'm thinking of start a new game during the coming spring break, and this time I wanna try something different, which is change every players' potential ability to 200. I've tried both Eastside UK pre-game and saved game editor, but couldn't find a way to change 'em at once. I don't wanna waste my entire spring break to change 'em one by one. Any idea?
I once edited around 90 percent of the players consistancy and made it somewhere inbetween 1-6 but i had to go to each team in the NHL and change it manually going through each player- Then edit again each draft class....and then euro regens came over so more to edit in the draft classes. Ye, it was a pain So to answer your question, no you can't, sadly.
They are hard-coded but movable. I just figured this out myself a few days ago. All you need to do is make your team (you can even rename whatever team you want to replace, etc.) and make sure that you create a team in ANOTHER league with the name of the team you're replacing. I put it in a placeholder league (a fake one I made up that I just called "Unused Teams") and gave them no colors etc. The game just needs I think to have a team playing in any league as "Newcastle Vipers". So far it's worked fine and I've been able to access the team np. Iirc this is the same deal with many European teams: you can't invalidate them but you can move them to other leagues.

I read somewhere that the teams in the Challenge Cup (which is played for by the 10 Elite League teams) are hard-coded. Does this mean that I can't change the names of the teams in the league?
In the Save Game Editor you can but doesn't really make everybody good and I would hope it did because then you would have to many Prospects who couldn't sign with you because you can't afford them.
Alright I asked this before but didn't get a satisfying response, I'll try again:
In the pre-game editor (LidasDB 3.0) I've changed the player budgets to all NHL teams to be above their current budgets. Like well above. When I start a game, the budgets remain odd- a few work, but some seem to max out at around 47,700,000 (or they don't change at all or are completely weird).
Is there any way to change player budgets with the pre-game editor? I know I can change with the save-game editor but this is very, very tedious.
You have to edit the team's player salaries so that they total the budget you're looking for. This, also, very tedious, but I think that's the only way.
I know I have asked this in a separate thread, and it didn't get anywhere, and this might not either.
With the expansion of DMa and DMb to TBL EHM 05 has seen somewhat of a resurgence. I was wondering if anyone knew how to get in contact with the creator or edit the EHM 05 editor (not sure if this is allowed here, might be different than the game cause its free?) to allow for Mass birth date editing.
I imagine it is a fairly easy thing to code into the program.
Hey. I downloaded the Pre-game editor and i am trying to add a few players to the lidas3.0 database. I made the players in the editor, and saved them, etc... then when i created my new game with lidas, none of the players are in the game. It just loads up like i never edited anything. I have tried everything to get this to work, but it wont. I have made the index files "non-read only", and even that doesnt work. I got it working with the default database, so im wondering if lidas is uneditable or something? any suggestions?
Are you sure you put the player available? When you're in the "Staff details" there's a place called Classification. If the player is at invalid, he will not be in the game, you need to put him as a player. If it's not that, then you must be sure to have saved correctly when you quit.
I definitely set the staff details correctly, because it give u an error if you dont. I also am saving the only possible way there is, so im pretty sure its not the way im saving it either. i just uninstalled everything and am gonna try it from scratch.. hopefully it just works somehow..hahahah. If anyone has any ideas with whats wrong, please let me know.. thanks.
Its only the Lidas rosters that i cant change. The normal default roster is completely fine when i change it. Guess i will just keep screwin around and hopefully it works. Thanks anyways.
What nationality are the players you created? What is their reputation rating (this rating is out of 200; not 20)? If you don't set that nation to "enhanced" when you start the game, and their reputation is quite low then they won't show up. Setting the database size to maximum in the game settings before creating the game might help too.
I'm having a similar problem.
I can't change anything in the Lidas 3.0 with the pre game editor 1.7.
However I found an old version of the pre game (0.3) that allows me to edit just fine..
Weird.
Whatever happened to the confirm button btw?
It was used to keep the changes you made within the editor before you saved your data.
Perhaps it's still supposed to be there so that's what I'm missing...?!
Ah, I can now make a reply to myself!
Yes you were missing the confirm button.
Due to the 27" screen and the increased text being used, the button simply disappeared.
I've screwed up a bit. I started experimenting with the editor, and bam, I messed up the standard database file. Is there anyway i can download and replace it or do I have to reinstall the game?
I'm using the current version of the editor, and the current version of the Unfaking db. I originally added 3 players, and edited 1 with no problems. But now when I went to add another player even when I put the job to player it doesn't give me the option of editing player details or attributes. So I tried to save it just to see if maybe after saving and reloading I could edit them, but I couldn't due to an error message about "Staff Dean Youngblood is not setup properly (need to be Player, Non-Player or Both.) Please correct this before saving....blah blah blah." Any ideas on how to fix this? Is it a known problem? Thanks for any help.

You have to set Job for club: in the contract details and it must be the same as classification in staff details (unless it is a non-player)
Once I hit the "add new" button it doesn't give me the staff details button. It takes away player details/attributes, and player info buttons. I still get staff attributes, then likes/dislikes, and history.
