Stuck with too many on roster

Post by BladesRW7 »

Hey guys,

I'm kind of stuck here. I am in my first season as the Penguins, and I have 24 players on the roster. This is normally not a problem, except for the fact that the only player I have that does not have to clear waivers is Sidney Crosby. The problem is that I cannot drop someone from the roster immediately, as I have to play a game on this particular sim day. I cannot put a player on injured reserve unless he is injured. I placed Lasse Pirjeta on waivers, but that takes 48 hours to clear. The only thing that I can think of is to send Crosby back to juniors, which leads me to my next question: Can I recall him from Rimouski if I send him there? I thought there was a rule that if you sent a player to junior after he played more than 10 games on the big roster, that you could not call him back up. If I have not clarified this enough, please let me know, otherwise any help would be appreciated.

Thanks

Nick

Once a player is placed on waviers, he can be sent to your AHL affliate right away.
