Hey man,
I think you have a strong set of wingers, top to bottom. Especially with excellent role players in Brown and Niedermayer. You also have some scoring on the left side with Gagne and Ovechkin. That being said, I would like to see how your defense fares outside of Leopold. Kloucek is also a solid player, especially in the physicality department, but I am unsure of Kadeykin. I read some good things about him when he was drafted, but haven't heard much of him since. Goaltending is a strong suit as well, with Niittymaki and Glass. I am a big fan of Antero's potential as much as it pains me to say as a Pens fan. I also wonder about Cairns. He's a specimen at 6 foot 6, all right, but not much else. All in all, you should be very proud of a high-flying team with some discipline up front.
2005-2006 Pittsburgh Penguins (I'm still new to the game)
Tomas Surovy-Mario Lemieux-Mark Recchi
Ziggy Palffy-Rico Fata-Sidney Crosby
Konstantin Koltsov-Shane Endicott-Ryan Malone
Matt Murley-Lasse Pirjeta-Andre Roy
Injured: John LeClair, Colby Armstrong
Suspended: Michel Ouellet
Sergei Gonchar-Ric Jackman
Dick Tarnstrom-Brooks Orpik
Josef Melichar-Lyle Odelein
Spare: Rob Scuderi
Sebastien Caron
Jocelyn Thibault
Here are some questions I have, that, as a newbie, would like some insight on.
1. Should I sign Milan Kraft to potentially work out a trade for Rico Fata? He hasn't produced much for me this season, mainly as a 3rd line center, and I know the talent that Kraft has. I don't match lines, and I roll all four equally for the most part.
2. Crosby is struggling somewhat as my 2nd line center, with a quiet 7 points in 8 games, despite being on the highest scoring team in the league. I'm trying now to put him on a line with Palffy and Malone to get him going, after getting Ouellet back. He had some success playing with LeClair, but would it be wiser to put him possibly on the top line with both Palffy and Recchi? LeClair is due back soon from injury.
3. Kurt Sauer has just become available on the market. Would it be wise to maybe pick him up off waivers, send Scuderi to Wilkes Barre-Scranton, and put Odelein as my No. 7 defenseman? I like Odelein's leadership alot, but how useful is that when I could get a younger guy to fill the same role, with perhaps a bit more upside?
Thanks for any help, and feel free to post any other comments.

You have a decent team even if i think you should try to shop out some veterans lice LeClair. And about the qestions...kraft is a good player so i'd pull the trigger if i'll be in your shoes. About Crosby i don't know...you should try to do the best for the team, not for the single player(s). And finally about Sauer...i think he's not a good player in both IRL and ehm
And now my team
Season 1, Colorado Avalanche
Tanguay - Sakic - Jagr
Brunette - Turgeon - Hejduk
Laaksonen - McLean - Svatos
Lundmark - Mair - Hinote
Liles - Skrastins
Tverdovski - Komisarek
Vaananen - Brisebois
Theodore
Huet
I roll equally all lines so to say that x doesnt play enough it's kinda wrong

Your 13th forward doesn't play enough!
Your offense is great, that first unit is top-notch. The defense is solid, but not a whole lot more, I'm afraid.
Season 4, Calgary Flames
Staal (Eric) - Carter (Jeff) - Iginla
Cole - Richards (Mike) - Hossa (Marian)
Gaustad - Talbot - Sjöström
Boogard - Hollweg - Ortmeyer
Phaneuf - Pitkänen
Hamhuis - Leopold
Kloucek - Sarich
Kiprusoff, Niittymäki

I'll try to remember...Harper wrote:I like that team, but how on earth did you get all of those players? Staal, Carter, Hossa, Richards...jesus...did you sign them to offersheets or something?

Hossa, at least, was a UFA. Signed a two-year deal worth like $2M in November.
Staal was signed to an offer sheet in the summer of '05.
Richards was aquired in exchange for Hamrlik.
Pitkänen was also a UFA signing. For some reason the Flyers failed to qualify him.
Carter was a waiver claim.

Who's that Bates fellow you have centering your top unit, Harper? Regen of some great HOF'er? Could you post a screenshot of him?
