I can't see this Carter deal being done. I just don't see how he fits into a low-budget team's plans. Especially when he's more of a natural scorer rather than a playmaker that they desperately need.

In addition, I have been reading reports that Andrei Markov re-signed with the habs for 2 years with a 5.75 cap hit each year. Confirmed through yahoo sports, but no other sports network has said anything. Price seems way too steep for me seeing as he's been injured for pretty much 2 seasons.

Claude Noel will be Winnipeg coach. I really don't know nothing about this guy. :dunno:

Brad Richards confirmed that he will test the UFA.

*Edit* Carter's transaction has been confirmed now. Philly gt Voracek, the first rounder 2011 and a third round pick. Wow Blue Jackets just got raped! :-o I don't mind the first rounder BUT + Voracek!! Holy cow the Jackets are desperated. IMO Voracek will become an awesome player, I don't know if he will be better than Carter but darn, this is as wrost as a Thrashers trade.

Also reported by ESPN is Versteeg to FLA, no toerh details. And I haven't seen it on TSN yet. TSN is also reporting the Robyn Regher has been asked to waive his NTC to go to Buffalo.

EDIT: @TSNBobMcKenzie: Any reports of Kris Versteeg being traded to FLA are false.

What the hell is Philly doing?

@TSNBobMcKenzie: Unconfirmed reports that Brayden Schenn and Wayne Simmonds would be PHI bound. But not done yet. Could happen. Stay tuned.

@TSNBobMcKenzie: As per @GMillerTSN, PHI talking with LAK about a deal that would send Mike Richards to Kings. Not done yet, but could happen.

If the Kings are getting rid of Schenn, it's one of the biggest error ever. :-D

Mike Richards to LA, aww sh.... For Schenn and Simmonds. Not bad, just can't understand why to trade Captain Mike.

And Carter to Columbus for Voracek and 1st and 3rd round picks. Looks like they're going to make big deal with Bryzgalov... :-k

I really don't understand anything. They just traded good players that they sign to long term contracts. Now they sign him for 9 years, we should do a poll when Bryz is gonna get trade when they gonna sign Schenn and Voracek to long term. :-D

Well, at least Carter and Richards have a shot at the Cup now. Seems you have to leave Philadelphia for that privilege.

Are you surprise that Richards is traded? You don't have to worry though, you got young, good players in the exchange. Wait until they are at their peak and I think Flyers are gonna be serious contender to the Cup, plus they have a nice option with that 8th pick.

Not really, to be honest. I'm not too surprised about Carter, either. Trade talk involving Carter has become a yearly tradition with fans and media, so it was only a matter of time before it actually came true. And Richards, the local media was all over him at the end of this year, in addition to the usual questioning of his captaincy.

I'm actually not too sad to see them go, either. In my opinion, they just never felt like they were "there"; They never seemed to be excited for a game... they were just kind of there, played the game, and then went home. They were clearly good, but they didn't seem to care too much.

Carter and Rchards love the    . There is rampant speculation that three or four other veteran Flyers (NOT PRONGER) went to team management and said either they go or I go (Timmonen is one of them).
Carter deal-Flyers better hope that 1st rounder pans out, because Voracek will be nothing more than Zhamnov for them. Lazy and hideous.
Richards deal-Brayden Schenn is being highly over rated by alot of people. He is AT BEST a second line centre at the peak of his career. He showed his true makeup this playoff season with the Saskatoon Blades. The entire playoff...was ME ME ME. Give me the puck. Try to go end to end...turn over the puck. His ego is as big as Lebongo.
Simmonds--Umm...you trade the drunk for a drunk? At least now Drew Doughty will still have a good drinking buddy.

Flyers signing Bryzgalov to a 9 year contract? What has this guy ever done to deserve that? Win a playoff game? I think he has one win in the playoffs. Sorry...but a guy who Phoenix picked up on waivers is now worth that much money. I don't think so.

Philly has decimated their team. Columbus gave up too much for a guy who can only score 40 goals and get 10 assists. They basically got Tim Kerr. Who is going to feed Carter and Nash? I suppose CBJ thinks Brassard will...but dude has to stay healthy.

LA_- Richards, Kopitar...um yeah this is the team that got better out of all of these moves. If Bernier improves, and Richards and Doughty do not get stuck in the bar at game time...the Kings are going to be one whale of a hockey team. My early pick to play against Chicago for the Western Conference Championship.

Here is a question? If Flyers wanted to pay a goalie almost 7 mill in cap hit? Why did they not call the Canucks. I am sure that Gillis would have given them Lebongo straight up for Richards or Carter.

Dude--this cracked me up. Brad Richards has no choice but to wait to July 1 and try UFA. Dallas said over a month ago they would not be resigning him, or even trying to. This has to be the most "CAPTAIN OBVIOUS" post ever. :-D

Oh...except for Danny posting every year that Boston is going to win the cup!!

And finally...I am betting that you want Brad RIchards to sign with your super team Montreal. I mean..smurf team. He would fit in well. VIVE LES HABITANTS!!! :-p

He is that lazy? I can't say I've seen him play in the NHL though but in the QMJHL he was awesome and he wasn't looking like a lazy guy.

But he is still young and that can change, you know that. If he his a second line at his best, it's still good to me. I would better take a chance with him than Richards. ( Mike )

I'm betting you that rumors will start to crawl everywhere here. People doesn't seems to realise that Mtl doesn't have enough cap space to sign him or if they sign him, they can't sign some of their D-men. I'm done with this, I'm going back to my Nords avatar. :-D

I agree Manimal. He is out of the closet. GO HABS GO!! GO SMURFS GO!!!

Schenn is not good enough. a 2nd line centre for what Richards brings is not good enough. Unless the 2nd line centre is a Kesler type or Zetterberg. No way no how. Schenn at best is a Dave Bolland type. Not good enough in exchange for Richards. EVEn with Simmonds (3rd line winger) and a 3rd Flyers did not get enough for him.

Aw come on, let us enjoy our one-hit-wonders! Esche, Burke, Cechmanek, Hackett, Biron, Emery, Niittymaki, Boucher, Leighton, Bobrovski, and a bunch of other backups so obscure I can't remember them...

If it wasn't for the Flyers' goalie needs, all our local flea markets would be out of business.

Keep talking, keep talking. :-p I don't care if Archi doesn't change the 24 Cups, at least my eyes are not bleeding anymore.

Markov has been signed for 3 years, 5,75 millions per year. I think it's too much.

I think an admin needs to make Philou's avatar a picture of 24 Stanley Cups!!!

Of course you think it is too much, you are a Habs fan and you need room for Bradley Richards (pronounced Ree--shards) like that other former Hab. :-D :-D
