Is there any interest in running a Season 7? I believe joehelmer would go for it, any others?

I'm a huge F1 fan and would be really interested. Just dont know what Im doing with batracer. Count me in anyway though, I'm sure I'll figure it out!
I vote classic 97. Canadian champion, and my favorite driver (Olivier Panis) was off to a great start...well before Canada at least...

Re: TBL Racing Season 6
We would be paired up in teams, thats the beauty of it, so an experienced guy-newbie duo would do the trick, we would teach you the basics. Alright, we got 4 potential drivers, the minimum required is eight, though. Lets see if theres any more interest.
Regarding the Classic 97 series, its one of the more exciting ones with rules pretty easy and straightforward. I really dont care which one we do, but '97 is a good choice.

Go on, count me in! It only takes five minutes every day so I can commit to that.

How does this work? When I seen this, I was expecting an actual racing game, like Nascar Racing Season 2003, which I'd be all in for, but this looks like a Sim game.

selne wrote:Basically all you do is to setup your car (e.g. suspension and tyres) and then you setup your driving style (like pace and aggression, you can put in values from 0 to 100 here) and then once in a day the game simulates a qualifying or a race. You cannot watch it live, but you can see the results and watch the race lap by lap after it was simulated. So you don't see cars driving around. It's just like EHM, you can watch a replay after the simulation and see what happened to your car every lap.A9L3E wrote:I could join, but I need to know some more about this BatRacer. How we're gonna race? Is this management or driving game? Are we gonna race like in Rally, one car at a time?

I've never played batracer, but I can tell you the general idea. You set up your cars for each event (I assume you will have some sort of set schedule), by picking tires, aero package, engine settings etc. Then the races are simmed.McSkippy454 wrote:How does this work? It's basically a low-maintenance online F1 manager game.

Re: TBL Racing Season 6
For those who are new I recommend joining a public game to get the general idea and learn the basics and then the "veterans" here can help you out even more.

Re: TBL Racing Season 6
So at the moment we got these TBL Racing "veterans" and "rookies" interested in joining the season:
Veterans:
Timura/Gibson
joehelmer
Archie
Calv
Rookies:
McQwak
racicot
?:
JakeTheSnake
McSkippy
To be able to start a F1 game we need atleast 10 and now we have 6 users who wants to join and 2 that posted but not yet expressed any interest to join. The more the merrier, but this time I won't spend hours in Paint/GIMP to equal the cars like I did for our BTCC game a couple of years ago.

Re: TBL Racing Season 6
The game sounds really interesting, but sadly i don't think i can join just yet. I'm comig up on four weeks of vacation time starting on july 25th, so i probably won't be able to get on my computer on a daily basis for the last week of july and most of august. Maybe i'll just sit this season out and make my debut on the racing circuit in season 7, if you guys will allow that??:

Are you sure it's 10? I say we need just 8.
Edit: Jake, its absolutely allright. I am pretty sure this isnt the last racing season.

Hey, veterans, I need a little help
What does "Qualifying (soon)" mean? How long will I have to wait?

I read some tutorials but so far am a little bit confused.

Re: TBL Racing Season 6
oh, I see. Now there is 10 hours remaining. Gotta be patient
But what surprised me is the sacking rule.

But what surprised me is the sacking rule.
Do I really have to login at least once per 3 days? There are 4 days ahead of me when I won't be able to login.Driver Sackings
Drivers are sacked automatically if they do not log in for 3.00 days. However, a Kool Tools driver may nominate their team mate before this time if they have good reason.

Yep, once per 3 days, the sessions are rolling with a 24 hour schedule. So in 3 days there are three sessions (practices and warmups).

Re: TBL Racing Season 6
In that case I'm going to be sacked...
I crashed in my first race so not much harm by that sacking. I'll join another game then again.
But the game is very addicting. I wish we had enough players to start our private game here. Are you gyus using Key Tools? Is it worth purchasing it (donating)?

This sounds very interesting:
F1 Online: a new free-to-play racer and management sim from Codemasters

You won't get sacked automaticly, but your driver seat will become available (in mid-season games). Unless someone claims the seat, you're still in.McQwak wrote:In that case I'm going to be sacked...I crashed in my first race so not much harm by that sacking. I'll join another game then again.

I recently bought Kool Tools, and can't complain a bit. Really brings comfort into playing, thus making you enjoy the game even more.
You're now in the middle of an academy-game right? In case you would need to join another one, I could be your 'instructor', be your teammate and teach you basics. Furthermore, there is a purely czech clan around, and one czechoslovak clan, both highly rated. Have a look around, and let me know.
