What are you unsure about? I could certainly explain anything you need to know.

Re: 2011-12 ESPN Fantasy Hockey Signups
I've done pools of various types before, but online stuff kinda overwhelms me sometimes (especially at first).....like right now I've reponded to your email, I'm on the ESPN site and at the league Site...but I can't figure out (yet) what I need to do to take over the available team...
Once I have a team....do I have players on my roster already? Or are they all drafted on October 1st?
I'll be reading the FAQ/etc...as soon as I figure out how to become the owner and it doesn't say "team available" anymore!
EDIT - Got it! Haven't figured out a team name yet, need to do some rule reading now...

Re: 2011-12 ESPN Fantasy Hockey Signups
I'd like to correct my statement on the number of teams available: we actually have 5 teams open on the OHL. We played with 8 last year, but I'd like to get to a full 12 teams.
So, anyone who's interested, we've got room!

Re: 2011-12 ESPN Fantasy Hockey Signups
Just wondering, how would that work? Would the 4 added teams ("expansion" teams) have "keeper" players before the Oct 1 draft? Or would they have no players to start but extra/initial draft picks? Or...

You know what, I actually have no clue how that would work... it didn't even cross my mind
Thanks for bringing it up - I'll have to look into it, and make sure I'm not just blowing hot air

Is this anything like yahoo's fantasy game?

I guess it depends on how you mean. We have our own custom rules and details which likely don't match a typical Yahoo league, but it's still fantasy hockey like you'd get at Yahoo - everyone has a team, drafts a roster, plays a match every week, etc., etc.

Re: 2011-12 ESPN Fantasy Hockey Signups
OK, I think it's coming back to me. I think what happens is the new teams will draft for the first six rounds. This will get them caught-up with all the other teams, who have already kept six players on their roster. Once these "expansion" teams are caught-up, the draft will progress as normal from round 7 to 23.B. Re: 2011-12 ESPN Fantasy Hockey Signups
We still have a team available. We need one more manager to get us up to an even 10-team league.
The draft is quickly approaching, so grab the team quick if you're interested.
Also, we haven't heard yet from archibalduk or pinheirobcp... hopefully you've got the invites in your email.

I promise you that it's really easy once you learn to navigate. If you know hockey (or similar sports) it comes naturally.tinyheed wrote:Im interested. never done any type of Fantasy Hockey before, so might need to walk me through it

You've been invited, tinyhead
By the way, I lied about having one team left... we actually have two teams. I missed that we still had a vacant team
And with that being said, now there's one team left, plus two pending invites.

Re: 2011-12 ESPN Fantasy Hockey Signups
Hey Brian - How do I reactivate my GM position at the Boston Irish? Or is it a different team I'll be assigned?

You should have an invite in your email (archi@gmail) which will have a link to join. If not, let me know and I can try re-sending it

Re: 2011-12 ESPN Fantasy Hockey Signups
Thanks I've sorted it.
I just realised that I'd set up an email filter for all ESPN emails so that they all skip my inbox and go into my fantasy hockey mail folder!
