Biggest come from behind win?

Post by Firebird350 »

Hey everyone!

I did not see a thread like this, so please forgive me if someone has already started a similar topic. I thought it would be a cool idea to post a shot of our biggest comeback wins for all the board to see. I got inspired to start this just now as I rallied for a big win in game 6 of the Eastern Conference quarter finals. My Maple Leafs were trailing the Lightning 4-1 in the 2nd period, and with some tactical adjustments proceeded to score 4 unanswered goals while Nabokov shut the door the rest of the way. I know a 3 goal comeback isnt huge, but it was a playoff win and a series clincher so Im stoked about it! Here's the shot:

Unfortunately no screenshot as the game is already out of the database...

Last season in our online league Game 5 of the Stanley Cup finals. Sharks are up 3 games to 1 on the Senators.

Clinching game with a live sim and the Sharks take a 5-0 lead with 5 minutes to go in the 2nd period. Sharks GM starts getting cocky, chirping and then the magic happens...

5-0 turned into 5-1, then 5-2. Sharks take a 5-2 lead heading into the third period, and like a real life game when you see the tide turn the Sharks GM is no longer at ease. Third period starts and the Sens quickly pull within 2 making it 5-3. Sharks go back ahead 6-3 and he starts feeling confident again. 6-4 Uh-Oh! 7-4 Sharks answer right back with 12 minutes to go. Then with 12 minutes to go the wheels fall right off for the Sharks.... Sens make it 7-5! Then 7-6!! Sens net the equalizer with 3 to go in regulation. The Sharks are able to hold off the collapse to force OT and hopefully win the Cup on home ice in OT. Was not meant to be as the Senators cap the amazing 5 goal come back in 25 minutes to stave off elimination! Sens win 8-7!!

The Sens would go on to win game 6 in OT as well forcing a game 7 in SJ. Which they would absolutely kill the Sharks 7-1!

Sharks who were up 5 goals with 25 minutes to play to win the Stanley Cup had a much bigger choke fest than any you will ever see from the real life Sharks.

Sorry no screenshot :\

Back in the 08-09 season during the conference semi finals, my ducks were down 3-1 against the Flames in game 5, I was down 4-0 with 4 min left in the 3rd when goals were scored by Selanne(1), Perry(1), and S.Neidermayer (1) in a span of 2. With only 1 min left, Perry scored a Shorthanded goal which sent the game into overtime. 8 min into 2 overtime Perry scored the hattrick goal and won me the game. (The time may be off but it was very close to this)

We would end up losing in the next round 4-2 against the eventual cup winning Blue Jackets.

I just finished my first season with the Ducks and we were up against the Rangers in the final, I had a 3-0 lead on the series and they came back to tie 3-3 and force game 7. In the final game, they took a 3-0 lead only for my team to answer with 3 goals to tie it up and we finished 4-3 in OT. The Rangers 3 game come back was more impressive though, they were the only team to beat me at home in the Playoffs.
