Re: 2011-12 Montreal Canadiens and Beyond
March 1st, 2012 Montreal Contract Extensions
Defense:
P.K. Subban- Currently 875,000- Wants 1,100,00 X 2, Offer $1,100,000 X 3
Jaroslav Spacek Currently 3,833,000- Wants 3,220,000 X 1 Offer $3,000,000 X 1
Aleksei Emelin Currently, 984,000- Wants- Doesn't want to neg. Offer $1,033,00 X 3
Raphael Diaz - No contract offered
Brendan Nash- No contract offered
Alex Henry- No contract offered
I want to have 13 defenseman contracted at Camp next season, if these are all signed, we will have 12 and can look to free agency to add a 13th.
Forwards
Andrei Kostitsyn Currently 3,250,000 Wants 3,610,000 Offer $3,500,000 X 3
Lars Eller Currently 1,138,000 Wants- Doesnt want to neg. Offer $1,500,000 X 3
Travis Moen Currently 1,500,000 Wants- 1,660,000 X 1 Offer $1,600,000 X 2
Jim Slater Currently, 1,000,000 Wants -1,100,000 X 2 Offer $1,100,000 X 3
Andreas Engqvist Currently 900,000 Wants - Doesn't want to neg. Offer $1,000,000 X 2
Mathieu Darche - No contract offered
Andrew Conboy- No contract offered
Dany Masse- No contract offered
Olivier Fortier- No contract offered
Aaron Palushaj- No contract offered
Hunter Bishop- No contract offered
The Habs have 16 Forwards signed for next season, by signing these 5, we will fill 21 of 22 spots at Forward that I would like for Camp next season. Leaving 1 spot open for free agency.
Goalies
Carey Price - Currently 2,750,000 Wants $3,020,000 X 2 Offer $3,000,000 X 5
Curtis Sanford - Currently 550,000 Wants $605,000 X 1 Offer $605,000 X 1
This would give the Habs 5 signed goalies, which is the target
If these contracts are signed, the Worst Case scenario for CAP hit next season is $53.0 M and that would leave us $9.5 room for Free Agents.
