hi I'm newbie, I just patch my game using artmoney (amt file) CSD patch v0-07. the game play ok but game crash on september 30,2011.
can someone help me how to fix this problem?

A crash on 30th September suggests as though you didn't apply the patch when you reloaded the game. If you download the Patch from the link I've posted, you'll see there is a Readme file that explains when you should apply the patch:

You should use the CSD Patch in the following circumstances:

1) When you want to START a new game in EHM and you want to use a custom start date.

2) If you have the RUSSIAN or FINNISH leagues selected: When you RELOAD a game where you have not yet reached the 1st July at the end of the first season. You must use the Patch to set the same start year as when you first created the saved game using the Patch.

3) If you DO NOT have the Russian or Finnish leagues selected: When you RELOAD a game where you have not yet reached the 1st February of the first season. You must use the Patch to set the same start year as when you first created the saved game using the Patch.

Ok I managed to reproduce the crash.

CSD reports exactly the same than on that previous screenshot (unrecognized version, applying default 3 patch etc). When I choose new game, select database and click start the game crashes.

To me it feels like that patch loads and is applied BEFORE EHM is started.

Normally this is the order of things what happens (on my comp atleast):

1. I launch game from CSD
2. CSD reports that Loading EHM... and Please wait whilst EHM loads..
3. EHM starts up (window opens and starts showing EHM "intro" images)
4. CSD applies 2011 patch.

For some reason every now and then CSD applies the patch before EHM starts up (or before the game window opens). That's when I get the crash.

I hope this time it's more helpful than before.

Edit: I'm just thinking aloud here since I don't know how CSD recognized that the game has started, but if it's simply some kind of time delay, could the reason why it takes too long to start EHM be virus scanner or something similar slowing it down?

Aha! As you say, it sounds like the Patch is applying before EHM has fully loaded. From my own testing, it seems to be okay if it applies during the opening credits screen - but I've never tried any earlier (well, there isn't much earlier as it jumps to the credit screen as soon as it loads)

Try loading EHM and then using the Apply Patch Only button for a while. If that solves it then we know it's definitely to do with timing. I might be able to slightly delay the timing in a future version of the Patch - it depends on how much the delay affects those with fast computers.

The reason for the delay in EHM starting could be because of the virus scanner or any other background software or, if you have any hard disk power saving features, it could be because the hard disk has gone into power saving mode (my laptop does this with my D: drive).

I'm having some strange things in my CSD game, couple seasons in, and I'm wondering what might be causing them...

NHL teams seem to be able to contract some young (18-20) undrafted players and some under age players aswell (17 years old etc). Is this something related to CSD or is it something caused by the 3.2 Lidas CSD Database only?

Hmm good question. I can't really say at the moment, but I think we will need to properly check this out when the v4.0 rosters are released. The v3.2 CSD Rosters are experimental and IIRC don't have the fixed draft info. The v4.0 will be much more polished in terms of CSD compatibility.

I am working on that problem. When I create young players I overwrite retired ones. This somehow causes this problem. The solution is to add birth year and not only date-of-birth. I will try to do it from now on for everyone I create

Using the CSD, I have noticed the Fantasy Draft using year 2011, ended after 9 picks, and using 2010, the draft ended after about 18 picks. Wondering what might cause this issue, or whether or not CSD works with the Fantasy Draft.

Welcome to TBL!

In the Patch window, untick the box that says "automatically close this window" before you apply the Patch. After you apply the Patch, what messages are shown in the Patch window?

Also, are you running a cracked copy and have you made any recent changes to the game's database?

I tried to use the startdate, and I have all the things installed. When I place the startdate in the gamefolder and run it as admin. I get the error message that the program stopped working.
The game works as It should without the startdate.

This start date and roster update has me digging out the ehm and looking forward to a long franchise session, yet nothing i do seems to make the start date patch work!

i have the latest patch and all the utilities the patch needs. The patch loads the game with no errors. The game starts... in 2006. I am definitely worried I will never get the thing to work and am reaching out to you wiser heads now. What am I doing wrong? I have followed the instructions to the letter and have the 3.0.4 version. What's going on?

I downloaded the Manimal 4.0 last night and decided to give it a try, and after i started the game I used the CSD Checker and after selecting database (Manimal 4.0) the start dates where set as 2011 in all leagues. That's good news right? Maybe it's working for me to, i haven't tried simming a whole season yet but I'll try that later.

This will probably make no sense at all if you don't remember my problem with the Custom Start Date Patch from earlier in this thread.

Hey Cazzman and Bluesteel9. Before posting questions about the Patch please please read the readme.pdf file included with it. You will see on page 5 a section entitled "Need Help?" with a list of information I need from you. I am happy to help anybody with difficulties but you need to help me out by posting that information. Without that, I'm completely in the dark as to what setup you have, how and when your difficulties arise and, therefore, how to solve the problem.

What gives the program error? The game or the Patch? At what point do you get the error. Please read page 5 of the readme.pdf and post all of the information it lists there (there are five bullet points listed).

Are you definitely running the Patch in admin mode (assuming you are using Windows Vista / 7)? Again, it would have been helpful to have the information listed from page 5 of the readme.pdf.

A very small number of users (maybe two or three) had the same problem and we were able to solve it by following these instructions. You will need to first download and install ArtMoney Special Edition (Freeware).

Again, info provided as asked by page 5 would have been helpful here. Namely, I need more specific details. At what point do you get those errors? When loading a saved game, starting a new game, on a specific date in game?

Hey ElPayaso! Yes, I remember your problem - we fixed it using a mixture of the CSD Checker and ArtMoney. So are you saying that you can now load the game without using ArtMoney? Either way, if you can now change the date then that is very good news. Just ensure you apply the CSD Patch (and ArtMoney if you are also using this) each time you reload the game until you reach 1 Feb or 1 July (depending on whether or not you have the Russian and/or Finnish leagues loaded - more details in the readme on this).

In either event, I would recommend using the Patch rather than the Checker if you can (even if you still have to use ArtMoney each time). IIRC the Checker is a little out of date now.

I was writing earlier about my problems with this new rooster, EHM patch and start date. I also didnt get the [MET] Birth Year Fix v1.0 or [MET] Contract Expiry Mass Editor v2.0 to work as well.
I downloaded and installed the Microsoft Visual C++ 2010 Redistributable Package, (allready had the Net Framework 4) but then when I tried to start the start date- patchI got an error message. And when I tried the [MET] Birth and Contract editor I got the message that a .dll- file was missing.

Now I found out what was my problem, I have WIN 7 64- bit and when I got to the download at Microsoft the file said (x86) and I changed to the 64 and installed, now I downloaded the (x86) and installed and now everything works perfect. I tought the (x86) was for 32- bit system and that I had to get the 64- bit? but I guess I was wrong.

You don't need to. That has already been done with the Manimal 4.0 rosters
