If you really want to do this then I can provide you with a spreadsheet of every team in EHM categorised by league.

I posted some fairly important info on the previous page. I thought I'd re-post this so that it doesn't get lost on the previous page:

1) For any stat you cannot find then you must set it to zero. There is no option for a blank stat in EHM. Note that the games played stat is the exception - it has to be set to at least 1. If the games played is zero then it won't appear in game. If a player did not play any games in a particular season then you do not need to record it.

2) You should record the league he played in during that season. So if Jonas Liwing played in the top league in 06/07 then that is the league you should record for 06/07. If he played in a lower league with the same team in the following seasons then you should enter that lower league for those following seasons. Even if the league is now defunct, you should still enter that league into the history for that season. In other words, you should record the exact league that he played in that season.

3) Playouts should be recorded as playoffs. Thanks to Manimal for confirming this.

Hey Archi, I have a question of interest. Are we only doing the teams from year 2010-11 and taking those players histories to 2006-07 and that is it, or are we taking the same team from years 09-10, 08-09, 07-08, and 06-07 and doing the same searching for players history, just in case we should run into a player that has skipped a year or two and therfore is missed in the update?

I may as well take Bridgeport, since I have the Islanders.

Should I send the file to you Archi, when I'm finished with it?

Archi,
I think the researchers should do a thing, basically, starting working with 2011 as well. Many players already changed team and this is a definite row in the history, for example. It will save time next year.

No, please keep hold of your spreadsheets for the time being. When the Editor is released (this will be once the Manimal Rosters v4.0 have been released), you will need to copy and paste the data from your spreadsheet into the Editor (you have to do this player by player). Then once you have done this, you click on the Export button in the Editor and email to me the exported file.

Please just do the histories for the players that currently play for that team. When you see the History Editor, you will see that the players are filtered by their currently contracted team. In order to avoid two users doing the same players, we have to go by the players currently playing for that team (because otherwise we'll end up with duplication of data = very bad).

I see where you're coming from, but I think to begin with we should concentrate on the 06/07-10/11 seasons because this is a big task and it will form the foundation of any future roster updates. Once we have this done, it will be much easier to start work on the 11/12 histories. Also, I've started work on a converter so that the histories will *hopefully* be quickly and easily converted for use with other rosters (i.e. the UUDB). This will also mean that we can research histories whilst others are editing the rosters - this will allow us to continue updating the histories throughout the season if we want. So hopefully we can get the 11/12 histories started quickly when the time is right.

Just to give an update, at this point, there are only 18 players that need to be completely done, and then resolve the issues with the other 4 players, and at that point I'll be done every player currently contracted to the Maple Leafs organization.

Hey all, how do I resolve an issue where a team actually changes names and identities in the middle of the year. I am running into a problem where Oren Eizenman who played for the Elmira Jackels in the ECHL, also played for the Hartford Wolf Pack during the 2010-11 year and in the hockeydb database it shows the following

2010-11 Hartford Wolf Pack/CT Whale AHL 33 4 2 6 6 -2 -- -- -- -- --

If they changed name halfway though the season, go with the team's new name because that is the team name he finished the season with.

So in your example above, record the 33 games as Connecticut Whale.

Use Connecticut Whale for all Hartford WolfPack stats as I renamed them. There is a Hartford Wolf Pack team in the db, but it is not the AHL one

If someone could take a look at Jerry D'Amigo for me, to help me sort out what games I list or don't list.

You list all stats in blue from this page
http://www.eliteprospects.com/player.php?player=31274

The USNTDP isn't a national team. It is a development program owned and run by the US National team and competes against club teams in the NAHL or USHL

Thanks. That helped me fix D'Amigo, and Kenny Ryan. Rynnas is still giving me trouble, with tsn.ca and hockeydb.com not listing any stats for him before 2009-2010, other than team and games played, and tsn.ca being the same.

Sorry for the repeated issues with these few players.

On the plus side, down to the last five players in the organization, unfortunately they're all giving me trouble.

I appreciate that.

and Reave, thanks. I've recorded that information previously, just want clarification on what years to record, and if there's anywhere I could go for wins and losses.

The only other players remaining are Jonas Gustavsson, Carl Gunnarson, Korbinian Holzer, and Juraj Mikus, whose career histories I'm just inputting.

I'll go ahead and say I'll take the Carolina Hurricanes and Washington Capitals as well, but this time I'll be limiting myself to the NHL roster, for now.

Here's good sites for Finnish league stats:

SM-Liiga stats:
http://www.sm-liiga.fi/tilastot/kokonaa ... l=m_kaikki

This is only in Finnish so translation for goalies: O-Games A-Mins V-Wins T-Ties H-Loses TO-Saves PM-GA NP-SO KA-GAA T%-SV%
After choosin season press 'Päivitä Näkymä' button which refreshesh the page.

And rest of Finnish leagues:
http://www.finhockey.fi/tulospalvelu/tilastoarkisto/

In here you can choose English after choosing season.. set series to SJL. This is for FIN-2 and lower leagues and for junior legues.

Thanks. I'll go back and do a double-check on the stats for those players, which I've completed. The Maple Leafs can be crossed out, and I'll be double-checking I didn't miss anyone on the Marlies.

At this point, I've completed all the goaltenders and defensemen for the Hurricanes, and five forwards. Tomorrow the rest and the start on the Capitals

I deal with the problem and is ready to make Spartak Moscow and Avangard Omsk in the KHL. (Spartak is almost done)
If I have time, then later the other clubs do KHL.

There is only one question, and what the league all the Russian players to write? Only RSL (Russian Super League)? KHL does not write?
What to write in players who played in the Russian youth hockey league - the MHL?

Just make a note of their real life league. Then when the Editor is available, you will be able to choose the most appropriate league from the list of available leagues.
