Updating the history in Manimal v4.1 - VOLUNTEERS NEEDED!

However.. Just like stone169 I can't change CSV Data Location, which worked fine on the other computer. (I got it in a folder on desktop)

Edit: It worked with pressing tab button. Time to get some work done

Inputing the data for the New Jersey Devils and I can't find Mark Fraser. I know that he is with the Devils in Manimal's 4.0 rosters, but has been moved since?

Does it matter what order we put the years in? Does it have to be chronological, or is it ok to put all the Regular Season stats first, and then the playoffs?

No that's wrong! Use the team name he played for at that time. Please use the Atlanta Thrashers as the team name.

It doesn't matter what order you put any of the stats in. My import tool automatically reorders things once we are ready to import it all into EHM.

So you can mix and match as much as you want.

When emailing csv files to me, please mention your username and which teams or leagues are included in the file - otherwise it takes a lot of work trying to figure it out.

No that's wrong! Use the team name he played for at that time. Please use the Atlanta Thrashers as the team name.

I think I better clarify my answer on this one:

1) If the team has changed to a new franchise or has relocated (e.g. Atlanta -> Winnipeg) then use the team name the team had during the season for which you are entering stats (i.e. the old name). E.g. for history prior to the 2011/12 season, use Atlanta as the team name. If you cannot find the old team name, then use the current/new team name instead.

2) If the team was simply renamed then use the current/new name.

3) If you cannot find a particular team in the Editor then use _BLANK as the team name. This will then appear in game as "Unknown team". Just add the correct league and it will be fine.

As an example of #3, Stone169 couldn't find an Italian team (Bolzano HC) in the database and so he put the team name as _BLANK and set the league to the correct Italian league. This is the correct thing to do in those circumstances. Here is how it appears in game:

Is it possible to remove one of those automatic rows in the history editor? I only need 10 instead of 11 for a player. Or can I just start with next player without a space between them?

What does the HistoryID column say? Does it have a number in it or does it say (New)? Each time you start entering a new row, a new blank row is added underneath. The blank row will not be saved so long as you do not enter any data into it. You can tell whether or not it will be saved because it will have (New) if it will not be saved. So you can safely ignore any that say (New).

If, however, it does have a number rather than (New) then you will need to delete it. To do this, select the player from the Staff History Screen -> Click on "Modify Selected Staff History" (not the Datasheet button, the other one) -> Find the blank row in the listing, scroll to the far right and click on the corresponding Delete button (the button with a red cross).

Archi built the history editor on my continued work from the 4.0 version. I had done that trade (Foster/Pielmeier-Fraser/Pelley) and also the Barch-Hauswirth deal. Hagman is moved to the Ducks.
I have also done changes in the minor leagues.
I believe Archi never mentioned this...

I have got the international and league competitions updated. There are a couple of gaps in some of the lesser-known playable leagues but I think I've got the bulk of it done. I will take a good look through the game once I've got some more teams done in order to check for any gaps in the competition history.

For the NHL All-Stars, I have used NHL Western All-Stars for Team Lidstrom (Det) and East for Team Staal (Car).

Archi, I can not access the editor because I am running the 64 bit version of Microsoft Office and it is requiring that I open it in the 32 bit software. Do you have any suggestions so that I can import them and email my portion to you?

I noticed no one working on the Dub. I'll try my hand at this task. Working on the Wheat Kings first.

The dub has not been updated in the game at this point. So...you need to use the real life rosters in order to get the guys in there properly. Plus the real life drafts to have any type of stuff done right foe what will be coming in the game.

My suggestion is you either:

1. wait until the next update for the WHL (Manimal 4.1)
2. or only do the real life roster players...

Because if you do what is in the game..you will be
a. duplicating alot of work done in higher leagues.
b. doing alot of players that are not needed because won't be in the database in the future.

PS...there will be a ton of guys from the drafts in the last 3 years that are not in the game. This is the primary reason...if you do go ahead and do the rosters that are current...great stuff...please do. But anything other than that could become very time consuming and annoying for you.

What teams would these players be on in Manimal v4.0? If they are on non-playable team rosters and/or are free agents in v4.0 then it is okay to go by the real life rosters. I know Manimal said recently in a thread he planned to update the WHL if he could find the time. So it could be useful ground work for this.

Sorry archi...by real life roster players...I mean the players on the WHL teams right now. Not the guys that are WHL prospects who have not made the team yet. It would be alot of work for someone to go through the drafts and could be for not, since I believe Manimal is already doing that.

Example: calgary hitmen...just go to their site, find their players that are on the team roster, and research their histories. Do not do someone like Jake Virtanen (Their first overall pick last year)

Sorry, I think we've got our wires crossed. What I mean is where are the real life WHL players in Manimal v4.0 currently? If the real life WHL players are on non-playable team rosters or UFAs (or on a WHL roster already) in Manimal v4.0 then it'll be okay to update them in the History Editor.

Yeah for the most part...unplayable and not even in game since WHL is basically the lowest playable league for those kids.

However...some of the older players will be on the roster of the team already in game, and some will be on other WHL team rosters. Manimal from what he told me in the PM he sent me has it all under control ....

Save for the history of these guys....which he needs.
