Thanks chaps.
Every thing seems absolutely fine from my end. It's a great update and piece of work.

About time I started a new game, been playing the same one for over 2 years now.

Hello

I tried to start EHM using the patch, but when i try to load it i get an error, saying that EHM is not running.

So i tried to load it except that when i click the shortcut for ehm it doesnt work.

I get a message saying that:The item ehm2007.exe has been changed or moved so this shortcut will no longer work. Do you want to delete this shortcut ?

Nothing else is working, what do i do how do get the shortcut back ? how do i fix it and get the patch to work ?

I'm using windows vista 64 bit. Eliscense version, 3.04, 2nd liscense, the error im getting is that ehm isnt running.

I deleted the shortcut, cause it wasnt working so now im stuck without one and idk how to start the game can someone help me out ?

Where is your EHM installation folder located? Did you put the CSD Patch in the same folder as it? Did you load the Patch with Admin privileges?

HAve you tried starting the game, leaving it at the first screen and then running the Apply Patch only?

No because the shortcut no longer works, adn the game wont start.

I may have downloaded the patch wrong, i saved it then extracted it.

thats what i do when i download the rosters, cause ive have problems with them before where the game is edited and then the shortcut stops working, but i havent had problems with it since i licensed it.

Does it work with the demo? When I apply the patch on the demo, this message appears;

"EHM Status: Unrecognised

Loading EHM...
Please wait whilst EHM loads...
WARNING: Unrecognised version of EHM.
The patch might not work.
Debug info:
1) eLicense: 0
2) Crack: **A bunch of numbers**
3) CD-ROM: **A bunch of numbers**
Applying 2012 start year...
Patch type 3 (default)
Patch successful.
Please note the 1 warning(s) listed above."

I have some issues with my e-license which hopefully will be resolved soon but I would still like to enjoy this patch on the demo..

So, I looked for this in the assorted threads but haven't been able to find it...

I got past July 1 in season 1 after using Manimal and CSD but when I get to Oct. 1, I crash every time. I tried going on vacation, tried to start it with patcher, without... nothing. October 1, 2012 crashes everytime.

Thoughts?

Sorry, the shortcut to what? If you cannot use the shortcut, try running the .exe file itself.

The exe file of the demo is exactly the same as the full version - so theoretically there shouldn't be an issue. However, I don't know how it will work with the demo's six month time limit.

Make sure you apply the 3.0.4 patch to the demo before trying the CSD. Let me know how it goes.

Have you been using the CSD Patch to reload your game after 1 July?

A crash in the second season is likely either because you forgot to run the Patch when reloading before 1 July or because you have been using it after 1 July.

I've registered my license now and it still doesn't work. Updated to the final patch and tried both "launch and patch EHM" and "apply patch only" with no result. I've also reinstalled the game a couple of times and tried both the setup file from download.com and gamefront with no result.

However, if you look att my previous post you'll see that I received an error message. After I registered my license this message appeared:

"EHM status: eLicense v3.0.4

Loading EHM...
Please wait whilst EHM loads...
Applying 2011 start year...
Patch type 1 (eLicense)
Patch successful."

So what's going on man? ](*,)

Some basic information
I have Windows 7, 64-bit
Patch v 3.0.4
eLicense
Tried to run the patch as an administrator

Basically, the patch window says it works but when I start the game it's like nothing happened.. in other words it's just like before the CSD-patch with the old starting date and everything.

Appreciate your help!

This sounds very familiar. Try this:

archibalduk wrote:Firstly, download and install ArtMoney Freeware (aka Special Edition): http://www.artmoney.ru/e_download.htm

Once you have installed ArtMoney, try the following:

1) Download this file: http://www.ehmtheblueline.com/forums/do ... php?id=278

2) Load EHM 2007.

3) Load the CSD Patch in order to apply the custom start date. An alternative to using the Patch is to use the CSD Checker which can be downloaded HERE (it is the file named CSD Checker v1.2b2.zip)). I recommend using the Patch rather than the Checker if possible.

4) In EHM, click on the New Game button and select a database. This will take you to the League Select screen.

5) Load ArtMoney (using admin privileges if using Windows 7 or Vista). Click on the Load button and select the file you just downloaded. If you get a message asking whether you want to convert to 64-bit mode, click on No.

6) Ensure that EHM is selected in the process drop-down menu:

Image

7) At the top menu, click on Edit -> Select All.

8) At the top menu, click on Edit -> Set Value. In the Set Value box, enter the value as 2011 and the step as 0 (it is essential this is set to zero). This will set all of the values in the right-hand section as 2011.

9) In EHM, select the leagues you want and click on OK to start a new game. Don't worry if the game start date on the league select screen still says 2006.

10) Try simming until 2nd October of the first season (do not exit EHM before reaching this point). Does it start with the 2011/12 season and does it crash on 1st October?

A crash in the second season is likely either because you forgot to run the Patch when reloading before 1 July or because you have been using it after 1 July.
So let me see if I'm following this:

Use the patcher to start the game at the beginning of a new game -- get to past July 1 and then DON'T use it ever again unless starting a new game?

Moreover, is my current game unusable?

That's correct. However, note that the 1st July only applies when you have the Russian and/or Finnish leagues loaded. Otherwise it's 1 Feb (although it's not a problem if you keep using the patch until 1 July even if you don't have Russia/Finland loaded).
LoXish wrote:Moreover, is my current game unusable?
If you've been using the patch after 1st July then it will most likely render your game unusable. The only way you can recover it is if you have been using rolling saves because you could try reverting back to an older save.

Alternatively, you could try the following (but I have not tried this myself): Load the CSD Patch with the start date set to 2012 and then load your game. See if that gets you past the 1 Oct. As I haven't tested this, I cannot tell you whether you should continue using the CSD Patch until 1st July of the second season. You would have to make a backup of your saved game and then using vacation mode to quickly test what happens.

I can't get it to work either, but I'm not sure if there is much you can do to help me.

The problem is with the .NET framework. I downloaded the version which is required, I install it, but the patch still says that I need this version. It may be connected to windows update not working anymore, which I couldn't get fixed regardless of the method used (Vista SP1 32bit btw). Seeing how everything else worked just fine, and me not having the time to secure all data and re-install windows, I never was too bothered by it.

I guess I will have to stick to my old saves until I find the time to fix windows ;)

Did you also install the Visual C++ file too?

Try using the CSD Checker instead (IIRC I don't think it needs .NET - but I might be wrong): https://skydrive.live.com/redir.aspx?ci ... 29C5C5!280

Yes, that file worked without a problem. Or at least he hasn't found the time to complain about it yet ;)
The control panel says that both the .net framework and visual c++ are installed.

Thanks. I tried it the checker, but it gives the same error.

It's in German, but I can try. Doesn't say much beyond the need to install .net framework.

Thank you. If you go to My Computer, type the following in the address bar: %WINDIR%\Microsoft.NET\Framework

This will take you to your .NET installation folder. Do you have a folder entitled "v4.0.30319"? If yes, then all I can suggest is trying to re-install. If no, then it looks as though the correct version is not installed.

Yes, the folder is there.

I'll try to re-install both visual c++ and .NET.

edit: Didn't change anything, still the same error.
Not much that can be done about that, I guess. Thanks for trying to help me.

Problem solved, not only for the patch but for my update-problem as well. :joy:

After looking through dozens of discussions, I finally found one guy who had a true solution for the problem, not the same three common solutions that didn't work. It involved installing another microsoft update. I have no idea why this isn't mentioned in the trouble-shooting guides they have, as the download-page itself says that the update can solve all those similar problems. Why wouldn't microsoft mention such a useful tool?

Anyway, after I installed it the windows update works again. And after installing all updates that have piled up by now, plus the SP2, the CSD-patch starts without complaint. =P~

Your patch don't work for me, it used to, before I reinstalled my computer, but not anymore.
The thing is, it just stops loading, doesn't matter if i use 'run as administrator' or not.
I get no message why.
I have the latest version of .net framework installed
