Training a Position

Post by watts555 »

Just wondering how long it takes to train someone at a different position.. ex. training a centre to play left wing.

As well, is there a certain practice schedule to train a position?

I haven't done it in a while, but I think it takes around 40 games or so? Not only should they practice that position, but they should play it in game.

When you choose how to practice (tactics, offense, defense) one of the options is position I think, which then lets you choose which position.

The time it takes to learn a position depends on the players "Adaptability" rating. Which can be found in the Editor only...

Also, you should do as Joe says and keep his training the same as what he is on, so he continues improving, there is a unused training regime which i use to train players if i want them to learn new positions!

Thanks guys. One more question.
When I set up the practice regime, do i ONLY set as learn position.. or do I make him practice other things as well?

I would set them to practice other things as well. So if its an offensive forward, you'd probably set him to train say on the Wing, and then on shooting, offense, and skating. Thats just an example. But yes, definitely train them on other things.

You need to rename it. Just click where it says unused and type a new name for that.
