The Habs are currently ranked 12th with an average of 3.42 GF per game. The Canadiens are also ranked 12th in shots on goal. Offensively the Habs are also ranked 2nd in PP% with 20.9% but rank 23rd in PP opportunities.

Defensively, the Canadiens are ranked 24th in GA per game with 3.71. The Habs are ranked 21st in shots on goal against and 19th in save percentage. The Habs are ranked 16th in PK percentage with a 82.8% kill rate.

Based on game stats, we are very good at winning faceoffs and usually are outhitting our opponents, so the main issue appears to be defensive play which appears to be an anomoly under Jacques Martin. So it has to be an issue with players particularily at defense. We will look to make a deal in early December for a defenseman.
