Re: Manimal Rosters 2011-2012; Mistakes, omissions, tweaks e
First, thanks for the hard work in putting together these roster updates and keeping a 5 year old game fully relevant.
I was wondering if you would be willing to quickly create an alternate version of your latest update with different AHL teams bumped down to the ECHL (i.e. not Adirondack, Bridgeport, etc). I run the game on a mac and tried using the pre-game editor on my PC and transferring the files back to my mac with this updated but I couldn't get the changes to actually show up in a newly created game (even though they do show up when I reload the database in the editor). I'd love to start a game with the Flyers, but playing with two ECHL affiliates and no AHL affiliate is almost impossible due to the roster size rules of the ECHL.
As far as I can see, possible solutions would be creating twin versions of the update with different sets of AHL teams in the ECHL, or adding affiliations for the NHL teams that are affected by this so they can have an AHL team to send their players to.
Thanks again for the time - and I understand if you're not into the idea of creating a special version of the database just for people who want to play with one of 3 teams, but I figured it wouldn't hurt to ask.
Thanks,
Andy

Nothing too much - I just though henrique's attributes deserved another look considering how he's played this year. An upgrade on some of his offensive attributes would be fine, more toward the yellow range.Manimal wrote:I haven't heard anyone using the save game editor with the CSD patch. You can become our guinea pig!brodeur1209 wrote:Is it ok to use the saved game editor with the CSD patch and these rosters?
I also see people talking about rating changes and such in this thread so I figured I'd throw my 2cents in if it had a chance to make it into the next update.
I new around here so I'm not familiar with protocol.
P.S. best player on the Devils is Elias. always has been. Parise is getting there but I've always felt his numbers come from his relentless attack and determination as opposed to pure skill - He will surpass Elias in a few years. Kovy on the other hand has tremendous offensive skills but his defense (especially on the point on the PP) is awful. He dekes through the entire team then shoots it a foot wide - he'll have to become a better finisher 5 on5
Make your changes and let us know if any troubles arise(or not)
However, I dont quite understand what changes you want me to make with the She-Devils.Please be more specific
I made the changes myself and used the saved game editor for a bunch of things. So far with no problems except for a freezing error when I type the Albany Farm Team in the search bar in the editor. It gives me a strange error and crashes the editor. I can post screen shots if you'd like.
I can't tell you how much I appreciate your efforts on the rosters Manimal. I don't have alot of free time but I'd be glad to help research or guinea pig-it up from time to time.

I think all contract starting dates have to changed if you use 2011 starting patch, because otherwise all young players get waiver eligibility for regular season and re-entry apply.
example:
blue jackets John Moore contract start 2005 in database. I start new game and go look waiver eligibility tab and there he is exempt for regular season waivers. then i go see player profile, klick information table and there he is eligible for waivers. now go back to waiver eligibility tab and there he is changed eligible for waivers too.
But... if I change his contract starting date 2009 in database, then he stays exemt fo regular season waivers no matter what.
contract starting date can also affect RFA situation.

In the Elite League you have put that Sheffield Steelers have "MILD" support, well that is inaccurate as they have nearly the same amount of support as Belfast Giants.
By the way amazing work on finally putting the date to 2011 after all these years

Is it possible to change the GM of the national teams? I noticed that Torgny Bendelin is the GM of Sweden, but it should be Pär Mårts.

Not sure if anyone else noticed, but PK Subban seems vastly overrated in this game, if he is putting up 63 points and 76 points in 2 of three seasons thus far. Whoever did his attributes must be a huge fan with so many ratings in the 90's. He may be a good defense-men, but he certainly isn't this good.

Re: Manimal Rosters 2011-2012; Mistakes, omissions, tweaks e
What you show there are his ratings two years from now. His attributes when starting the game is set pretty accurately I'd say. HE is listed as a -9 in PA so you might have gotten the better of it. I think Subban has the possibility of becoming a great d-man, he just isn't doing it right now IRL(as the Habs suck) I think he might be reduced some the next time around but atm there isn't time to re-rate the NHLers (as we just did it), other leagues are first in line to be changed(like the WHL which is what I am working on atm)y2jericho wrote:Not sure if anyone else noticed, but PK Subban seems vastly overrated in this game, if he is putting up 63 points and 76 points in 2 of three seasons thus far. Also, the editor does not use alternate ratings so it's better to change it back when posting in this thread

Mine doesn't have post 2005 history?
I can use the .CSD file patch done and I can start the game on August 31st 2011, but there's no history post 05-06
Edit: I'm using 2011-20122 Manimal v4.0 from https://skydrive.live.com/?cid=a0fa740e ... 29C5C5!430
Edit 2: I noticed Kane/Toews have updated stats though..

I've noticed something while playing with these roster wich I've never seen before. Two of the computer teams, Edmonton and Los Angeles, has great first keepers and second keepers that are several levels below the first keepers. Edmonton got Miller and LA got Quick. But they never play! Both of them are stuck on the bench beacause they always got lousy condition. It's like down on 10-15%! Since I've never seen this before I thought that it might have something to do with the 4.0-roster, so I figured that I should post it here.

Ok so this is something I noticed while updating the histories for the UHL. There is a Mike Lane listed as being with the Knoxville Ice Bears, however the DoB and hometown are different from the one listed on EliteProspects.com, but there is a different Mike Lane listed in Hockeydb, that does match. And for both sites this is the only Mike (or Michael) Lane listed. He is not listed on Knoxville website either.

They do share the Utica College history though.

Re: Manimal Rosters 2011-2012; Mistakes, omissions, tweaks e
Played some seasons in the SEL and i got some suggestions
Sebastian Wännström
Putting up some serious points and just not occasional, on all my saves hes putting up 20-35 points in a 50-55 game season. In real life hes 8 points in 32 games, good player though. Just some tweakings in his CA and offensive role maybe will do it.
Max Friberg
Yes he was great at the WJC and starting to get his season together now, but in the game his ripping SEL apart with points. Maybe just lower his consistency a bit beacuse to me it just look like self esteem issues.
Jakob Silfverberg
Is already good in the game but in the last few games he carried the team on his back, leadership qualites and a great two way game. just a slightly improve will do.
Johan Larsson
In the game the strength is the only good attribute he got, hes a good playmaker and plays a solid two-way game. Putting up some nice numbers aswell.
Oscar Möller
Slightly to good on the game, dropped in from NHL this season and hasnt really dominated the league as his stats suggests.
Nicklas Danielsson Richard Gynge Robert Rosén
Doing great so far this season, Slightly improve

James van Riemsdyk and Paul Mara has the wrong birth place. van Riemsdyk is from Middletown Township in NJ and Mara is from Ridgewood NJ. I don't think any of those towns is in the database, van Riemsdyk has some town i Connecticut with a similar name and Mara has Boston. I suggest you change them to the closest towns to their towns that are in the db, if you can't add new towns to it.
