Well I just started up again after some months of and played a new game. During the 19 seasons i have played thus far i didnt have a jersey retired yet but i remembered they were quite rare in the game. However i had my own star player created in the game to see how he would turn out. Now after winning the Lester B. Pearson award in all of his 19 seasons, along with several Harts, Smythes and other trophies going along with 2512 pts in 1550 games (and about 650pts in 350 playoff games) he still doesnt get his number up on the rafters. Now i wonder is that in 2007 or was it 2005 what i remember?
Edit: Just to clear up any question, that player was still under contract (for a hefty 7.5m and i am not sure whether its still going against my cap as he was above 35 when he signed that deal) when he retired.

Re: Jersey Retirement
I have played 2007 offline quite a bit and never had a jersey retired. For a game that is so cool it still needs a lot of work.

Re: Jersey Retirement
From my understanding the Jersey retirment is something they wanted to do but never did get it implemented. I have never seen a jersey retirment, even though the mention it in their save screen 'hints'

Re: Jersey Retirement
I've had a jersey Retirement once, I'll find the save game and upload a screenshot of it. Was #88 for the Stars.

Modano's news article and
the Screen Showing #88 so people know it's not some BS

Re: Jersey Retirement
That jersey retirement has been done BEFORE game even has started i think.. If you want to retire jersey, you must trick it with .cfg's.. dunno it is possible to do during save game..RyanSmythe wrote:I've had a jersey Retirement once, I'll find the save game and upload a screenshot of it. Re: Jersey Retirement
I think he was talking about the #88...Not sure anyone wore that in Dallas..
Also Modano was still playing at game start up unless that game is the newest version of the rosters...so it would have come after game on.

I was, the only player to wear 88 in recent time for the Stars was Eric Lindros.batdad wrote:I think he was talking about the #88...Not sure anyone wore that in Dallas..

I posted the Modano News Article, because this is the only game I've ever seen his number get retired in. All of my recent games it's not retired in.
