How about the Columbus Blue Jackets? They have some good prospects in Nash, Zherdev, Picard, and Brule.

Check the current standings of the NHL and pick any of the teams at the bottom of the heap 8-)

When you first start up the Board will tell you what they expect; you're looking for them to say they just want you to improve the roster. If the team you pick doesn't say that add a GM and pick a new club ;)

Personally I have found Buffalo to be very forgiving (like finishing bottom-5 my first 3 years)

As much as you might not want to, the pens are probably the most unambitious team. After I won the stanley cup, the next year they told me to improve my roster(again)... :-?

Florida start low with expectations only to improve, and a number of good young players.

Actually, with their budget Chicago expect you to reach the playoffs IIRC, and with that team it's hard.

Chicago are one of the better long term teams in the game as their prospects are good, and worth a fortune in trades.
