I've received more Czech League research from Lukas as well as the whole of the SPHL from Jh06. I'm swamped with researching the ECHL and EIHL but I will find time this weekend to import all of the recent research I've received. Keep up the great work everybody!

Just to clarify: When researching player career histories for a team, you should go by the team's roster in Manimal v4.0 and not the current real life rosters. We are looking at all contracted players and not just those currently on the NHL 23 man active roster, etc.

To find all contracted players in the Editor, you will see them in the far right hand column in the Staff History Menu. If you're using the spreadsheet method, you will find the team's roster in the Player_list.xls file.

The reason for this is to avoid two users researching career history for the same player because this would result in duplicate entries in the game.

In order to ensure that we get each league complete, I think we should concentrate on teams based in the following leagues to start with: NHL, AHL, ECHL, OHL, QMJHL, German DEL, Russian KHL, Slovak Extraliga and Finnish SM-Liiga. Once we have covered all of those teams, we can decide whether we want to end the project or perhaps research a couple more leagues.


RED = This team is available for research.
GREEN = Data researched and/or entered into the Editor.
BLUE = Archi has received the data and imported into the Manimal Rosters.

I've had a message from AaronRStanley explaining that he has completed most of the Washington research but is unable to complete the final dozen or so players. I'll complete for him.

Today I have added a huge amount of data provided by a number of users consisting of the CHL, Czech Elite League, over 100 UFAs, two QMJHL teams, an NHL team, an AHL team, Finnish Mestis and possible some other teams (I've lost track because there were so many!). Thank you to all of you.

We have now added approximately 46,000 new entries into the database. So the upcoming Manimal Rosters will have over 25% additional histories compared with v4.0!

As you will see from the list above, there isn't all that much left to do. I had a bit of a set back with the ECHL histories and so it is taking me about a week longer than anticipated - but I will aim to get all my outstanding tasks completed within the next 7-10 days.

I've now completed the ECHL and EIHL. I've also received the Czech League goalies and the Flyers. This just leaves some final bits and pieces, which I'll complete this weekend, and Loosie's SPHL research. We're very nearly there!

I haven't heard back from Matos and so I'm assuming he doesn't intend on completing his Slovakian research.

I have completed and imported the remaining ten ECHL teams as well as the UK EIHL and all of the various players that had been missed from other research. I've also imported the Flyers (thank you Airiskohvi) and the Czech league goaltenders (thank you Lukas). So this means we have all of the teams completed other than the SPHL!

Loosie - if you need any help with finishing off the SPHL then please let me know and we can see if any users can lend a hand.

I'm now going to go through the original pre-2006/07 data to remove some incorrect data (Lukas and another user have researched the correct data) and to correct a couple of entries (again, thanks to Lukas).

There is also a great deal of seemingly unlinked duplicate data in the original data which I will remove. It seems there is duplicate data that isn't linked to any staff - almost as though it has become scrambled either when the game was originally released or maybe from the Editor. I looked up one of the scrambled entries and it seemed to match a season of stats from Jason Krog (Anaheim) - but he already has the same data linked to his name and so it seems that this scrambled data is unnecessary duplication.

I'm also going to add team records for the Winnipeg Jets and, if I have time, I will see if I can update the team records for all NHL teams.

There were quite a lot of incorrect NHL team records in EHM, but hopefully I've caught many of them. The Jets' records are already in the game and so I didn't need to add these.

I've just been looking at how many different players and leagues we have researched. Here are some statistics:

New entries added: 51,054
Erroneous entries replaced: 160
Scrambled entries removed from original data: 7,031

Total size of player career histories increased by 27% from 189,054 to 240,268 entries (189,054 + 51,054 + 160).

Number of players updated: 5,751

Leagues updated: 14 playable leagues, a number of top free agents and some non-playable Russian lower-league teams

Competition histories updated: All playable leagues and some international and continental leagues

Team records updated: A range of NHL team and player records updated

Has anyone checked record_config.cfg lately? I know that recently I noticed there were some duplicate record entries in-game because a player was listed in that file, but was still in the DB and had career stats. For instance, if you looked up most Career NHL Goals you'd see Brett Hull listed twice because he is still in the DB as staff. It should be as simple as removing the duplicate players from record_config. Also, I think Mark Messier's career stats had a small error, but I can't remember if I already fixed it or not.

I remember reading in an early post that this should be completed sometimes before easter ,
so I dont know how u guys have done this HUGE PROJECT in such short time kudos ..

Cant wait to kick ( puck ) off a new game with Helsingin IFK ..

PS , if u have the time please take a look at Mikael Granlund's CA and PA and some of the attributes too ,
i think he's a bit underrated in the 4.0 rosters as he cleary is one the biggest stars in the Finnish hockey scene (domestic at least ) ,
and is surely going to grow as a player when joining Minnesota Wild for the next season .

WOW! It's been a long time since I've posted here. I just recently got back into EHM and decided to come check out TBL, since they are the number one EHM resource. And to my surprise I find this! I just wanted to thank everyone involved in this project and all the other great things that have come out of this forum. EHM is truly one of the best games I've ever played and to see people put this much effort in to it to continue the, legacy, for lack of a better word, of it is awesome. Can't wait for this roster update, thanks again to everyone who has put time in to this!

Also, just a quick question. Will this database fix the inability to send certain players up and down from the NHL to AHL?
