I've played this game for years. Current game is on season 2047-2048. I decided to start a new season just for the heck of it.

I'm using the roster update as mentioned above. I quickly simulated a season so I can know what to expect when I play for real. A couple things:
1) The offense.
Was it just luck of the draw given this is obviously a simulation game or is the offensive output in the update generous? The NHL isn't too bad, about 12 players over 100 points. I say generous because there hasn't been more than a few players with over 100 points since the 06-07 season. It's not a big deal, I understand offense will fluctuate over time. Lundqvist was the best goalie with a 2.28GAA.
One glaring unrealistic part I have found is that in the WHL, for example, there are literally 30 players with over 100 points and no goalie has a GAA better than 2.50. Some players have doubled or even tripled their production from the season prior. Realistically speaking, there are only 8 players in the dub with over 100 points. There is obviously a huge gap here.
Has anyone else experienced this in their game?
2) Awards/Calder trophy
How come Kane, Kessel, and others are competing for the Calder trophy when this is suppose to be the 2011-2012 season? Landeskog should have won it easy with 69 points in 82 games, but Kane kicked his ass with 120 points and 45 goals.
Again with the Art Ross for example. Toews won it. But the awards page in the game shows Thornton with the last Art Ross back in 05-06.
Is this because the game is hardcoded for the 06-07 season and there is simply nothing that can be done about this?
--------------
Anyway, I was wondering if anyone else here has had a similar experience thus far or if it's just me?
I love the update, the realism etc. I just don't like that the offense seems to be a little generous. I mean, it's not that big of a deal, I love the update and the game in general so I'm obviously going to play. That's my only real criticism.
Thanks for your time!
