Re: Minstrel Hockey League 2011-12
Thanks all! Finally I've won this Fantasy League.
This Season was pretty good, My Team and Manimal's Team ended with 18-4.
In the Playoffs anyone could win and would be well-deserved.
Manimal's team is very good (I want Stamkos. let's trade) and I hope we can continue playing for many seasons ahead.
Oh! You're right, Batdad. Brazilian guy teaching canadians how to play Fantasy hockey - Priceless

Re: Minstrel Hockey League 2011-12
Manimal's team sucks. He almost lost to mine, and I believe someone around here...where is that guy?....said all my players suck or are worthless. And yeah Corinthian..congrats.
I still cannot believe my team over the three years;
1st in reg season, out in semis
3rd in reg season out in quarters
4th in reg season out in semis
Wow. Really just cannot get it done. Perfect name for them.....bunch of chokers.
actually...what has happened virtually every year...the players I have get rested at the end of the year for a variety of reasons, most being that they have clinched a spot and cannot go up or down in standings. Niemi this year finally played at the end of the year, but Lebongo was 1 and 1 with Schneider the last 3 weeks. caused me to have to pick up other goalies (Reimer and York) and lost my chance to make other moves for more goons to beat manimal because of that.
But as always...happy with my team for the most part, just needs minor adjustments. Off year for Carter hurt bad though.
Also..still will not say I am coming back. Really disappointed in the lack of activity in the league, and people not being involved. Really disappointed in the lack of knoweldge of what makes a good fantasy player...guys think only 50 goal scorers win for you. Um yeah...you out of the playoff teams need to have a look at my roster. I almost beat Manimal without winning Goals or assists, or shots...Happens alot with my team. Cause you need to get a balance, not just win the first two categories.
To me it is intersting...I think I won zero categories in the TOTALS section. But I was between 5th and 8th in most of them...and finished 4th. Why? Because my team was totally balanced and are a bunch of decent fantasy producers. Granted guys like Marleau and Luongo did not produce as much this year as they have....but they will be back.
Luongo especially...since he won't have a #1 as a back up next year should be back to 64 plus games.

Hey, just because my team didn't perform in blocks and other none offensive stats doesnt mean that I don't care about them. I won last years play-off's with goons last year, remember?

Batdad your team has a playoff perfomance such as the Saint Louis Blues,
Come on, Loungo really!? Schneider will get the job soon.

This is a true and annoying fact. The last week when all comes down to the line, our teams are not at full strength. Sure, it is equal for all teams but I still hate itbatdad wrote: actually...what has happened virtually every year...the players I have get rested at the end of the year for a variety of reasons, most being that they have clinched a spot and cannot go up or down in standings.
and Batdad, my team do suck, but not as much as yours

Yeah....by what? Two PIMs?
Visualdarkness--Not saying you inactive, saying MANY MANY MANY are. Tis annoying.
And Schneider will not get the job...he will be going to Tampa or somewhere else and be the starter there. Canucks won't be able to move Lebongo's deal.

Congratulations, Red Army.
I'm glad I managed to avoid relegation one more year
I set my keepers and sent non-keepers to bench so you can see who I want to keep.
Looking forward to 2012-13!

I've already set my keepers too! I'm looking to trade Mike Green and one of my keepers for a prime Center.

Re: Minstrel Hockey League 2011-12
When you chirp from a losing position....you really chirp poorly.
And yes I have said from day one my team chokes in the playofs,,,why is that? Read the rest of my post. It is clear why. Especially the first two years. And chirp away bud...at least I never play in the relegation round.

Are we still allowed to trade, or do we have to wait until next season?

I haven't really decided on what goalie to keep, the third d-man (after Karlsson and Kronwall) and the sixth forward so there are trade possibilities

Yep. Can trade again. Stinson may even set up so draft picks are traceable. Not sure when he can do that though.

Sent a couple of counters to you Batdad, I tried to give an explanation but my computer seemed a little slow and I don't know if it came through.
I also sent a few "Inquiry" trades to the Red Army, the Newbies, and the Black Bears.

Also thinking may want to fold two teams. Have a dispersal draft.

No way if you ask my about 2g's, but I guess you're not serious. We need some good goalies in the draft too!
Fold two teams, Prague for example looks inactive.

Yeah, we're close but I still think you want too much. You're going to have to drop one of those goalies anywaybatdad wrote:Working on it timmy...keep coming at me. We r getting closer...

As far as closing two teams-- should we do that or just get people that really want to play and contribute? Closing the teams would make for an interesting draft in the fall.visualdarkness wrote:Fold two teams, Prague for example looks inactive.
