I think this needs to be realistic. Also if you want to allow people to set up historic games you should allow players the option to turn on trading of cash, which is available in many games.

Hello everybody !

I've been reading all the Dabo-related topics for quite a while as a visitor (as well as the all forum, i'm a HUGE EHM fan  ) and i wanted to share maybe an idea to all of you.

What about any relocalization process? Based on the team global attendance in the year and maybe the loss of money by the chairman, i don't know if it's a really great idea but it might be realistic to have it, especially after seeing the "rebirth" of the Jets this year !

Plus, if a team change from a town to a another, or a country to another, it could eventually affect the whole team moral in a positive or a negative way.

HS : Sorry if there is some errors in the message, english is not my primary language :-(

The game is alive or die, finance is a key

EG,We play CM0304,several years later,we always have billions of money,we can buy whatever players we want, then we lose the interest of the game.

Two solution
1)Manager salary usage.Manager can use money to go to bar, having some drink, and raise pet,it can increase the attributes of the manager, and cause the successs of failur of transfer market or the atmosphere of dressing room

2) Online Mode, the finance of be the vital, and it will be exciting!

We have started to plan the financial aspect of the game and right now we are trying to figure out what data we need to store in the pre-game database.

When it comes to ticket prices we need to add different sections (and the capacity of each one) to every arena. We need some help figuring out what sections are needed and what they are typically called.

We could have: upper/lower short side, corner, upper/lower long side (multiple floors). Then there are balcony, loges and suites (are these proper names?).

Any clarifications and suggestions are welcome.

Sections are usually numbered...you can look up arena floorplans online to see specifics used for a particular arena

dabo wrote: upper/lower short side, corner, upper/lower long side (multiple floors).
I'm more familiar with directional references to sides (north/south side or east/west side).....I see you have corner - what about end? for the seats behind the nets.......for multiple floors I've also heard lower/upper bowl used, as well as upper/lower deck

dabo wrote:Then there are balcony, loges and suites (are these proper names?).
I think now (luxury) suite is quite common.....I looked at MSG ticket stub images online, noticed loges was used (a new word for me!).....also noticed promenade used

Many arenas have a "family zone" or "family fun zone" (often end seats) where tickets are less expensive (and alcohol is not permitted)

Did some looking around online, and it looks like colours have been used for sections too (at least in the past).....one example I found had the "nosebleed seats" as Grey, then Green, then Red and finally (the best seats) Gold; the end sections were Blue

Wal Mart will be able to buy all the teams, and move them all to St Louis.

Yep. Walmart will then sponsor the financing of 29 more NHL-calibre arenas in the city. And have St. Louis secede from the US so that it can still be called "National Hockey League" :-D

And name 'em all the Blues, of course. Chances are, they'll still manage not to win the Stanley Cup :-D

Ah yes, the good ol' Moscow Blues. Should have thought of them. Let's not forget the Jupiter Blues, too. But that's a somewhat difficult topic, because if they are realigned to either the Blues', the Blues' or the Blues' division, it's bad for their travel costs, so they have to have their own division from which they are automatic perennial winners. With perennial drafting rights to boot, because somehow all of their players are badly poisoned each season by the toxic atmosphere of Jupiter. Go figure. :-D

Each country's finance should be estimated too,I remeber SI's research team has made this clear several years ago
We'd make a blacklist of billionaire who has interest in hockey in the game too :-D

I was just wondering if it'd be possible to "own a team". I think if I recall correctly some edition of the Fifa Manager had that possibility.
I'm not sure if it really affected anything but owning a team and being the GM, at least to me, would mean free hands in pretty much everything. You can pretty much walk over the board of directors due to having the majority of the stock or since there is no board of directors, because you own the team.

Meaning no one could come tell you that the economics suck, that the team isn't succeeding well enough, that someone made us an offer on a star player that is just too good to pass, etc.

Of course this would be even better if it is possible to create some code that could make the team more interesting or repulsive for players and staff depending on the finance managing, player managing and so on. Don't really know if that's even possible but could be a cool little feature and a way to make the takeovers and such more involved in the game.

And while writing this I also figured that the takeovers could be more involved in the game if the owner(s) of the club had a certain "relationship" with the GM. Something plain like: "Hatred, contempt, dislike, neutral, content ,pleased, perfect"
So in an example, you manage a team for 10 seasons and the owners are pleased with your performances but then an anonymous banker decides to buy the team. Say the "relationship" bar drops to neutral and thus you as the GM are watched more closely.

the club-owner mode should be put into the net-game,then the players' money can be a vital factor determines who can be the club-owner.orelse,it's meaningless :dunno:
