Re-entry waivers glitch

Post by Jumbotron92 »

So I'm trying to recall Callahan from the minors. He's already cleared re-entry waivers once (the news feed actually said "Callahan clears waivers", and I actually put him on re-entry waivers and not regular waivers), but when I try to call him up it still says he must be placed on re-entry wavers, and I have the cap space and roster space to put him on my roster. Anyone else have a similar problem?

Basically you place him on waivers and then call him up (you don't have to wait for him to clear first). If you leave him in the AHL until he clears you'll have to put him on again (Not really a glitch though).

Oh, huh, didn't know that was how it worked. Thanks for clearing it up!

Hey guys I picked up Al Montoya for my young oilers team and he is on my farm team. I tried to do what you guys did by putting him on re-entry waivers and calling him up immediately, but he is always claimed by Minnesota the next day. What gives?

Well, but what's so surprising here? You put him on waivers, they claim him. That's how the waiver system is supposed to work. :dunno:

I just acquired him and he was automatically put on my farm team and can't call him up to my oilers team because he has to be placed on re-entry waivers. I want to bring him up, but don't want to lose him for nothing!

You should've checked his waiver status before you acquired him. Now, if you don't want to lose him, you'll have to wait until the offseason.

That would be why. Thanks for the heads up
