editing ehm freeware rosters

Prior to the development of Eastside Hockey Manager by SI Games, the game was a one-man freeware project by Risto Remes. This forum is the place to discuss any aspects relating to the freeware edition.

This needs to be moved to the Freeware EHM forum.

For the freeware, just open the PLAYERS.EHM and edit it in a text editor. The .RST editor is flakey and unstable, and doesn't even let you completely edit everything since player ceilings are generated after initializing the game. If you use PlayerScout to load the info for the player you want to edit, then search for their name in the PLAYERS.EHM file, it's pretty easy to pick out the values you want to edit.

There a=sadly is no stable known editor for the freeware version. Most everyoen just edits the actual PLAYERS.EHM file.

I wrote a complete php editor that would decompile all of the .ehm files and dump to a mysql database for use with web apps then recompile them to use in ehm but unfortunately it is lost on a hard drive the is damaged...
