Running in a window

Post by Don Johnson »

I have a problem guys, I got a new laptop and put EHM05 on it and want to run it in a window but the game says I have to have my resolution higher than 1024x768 but I'm running it at 1280x800. Is it because I'm on a widescreen or what?

I'm not an expert on these things, but EHM is pretty picky with which formats it works with, which settings it will run with, etc... so I would imagine having a widescreen instead of a "normal" ratio would have something to do with it.

I have the same problem too. Normaly, my laptop is set at 1280X768 but the game couldnt work with that. When I want to play EHM I just set my resolution to 1280X1024, and the size of the EHM window is just enough to fit into the viewing area - height 768.

It is the "aspect ratio" that is the problem in this case if I remember correctly because monitor screen sizes are quoted without compensation for that the computer takes a portion of that for it's menubar so with that compenated for off of the dimensions when talking about a widescreen that is where the problems come in. Can't remember exactly but there was talk of this early on in the 2005 cycle when they went to the larger fixed size.
