Possibly more bad news out of Edmonton (rumours)

A relative of mine is associated with the Maple Leafs organization, and he was telling me last night that Pronger won't be the only one wanting to get out of Edmonton this summer. Supposedly something really big went down in the dressing room after game 7. Suppsedly Peca also wants out, along with 3 or 4 other players. Also note, the team didn't pick up Mactavish's option for next year.

Samsonov seems to be on the way out too,but that's not a big surprise as he hasn't been so impressive with the Oilers...

If Pronger wants to be the last brick of the Flames defensive wall,i won't be against...

Whoa... not often you coach your team from the #8 seed to the Stanley Cup Final and find yourself in that kind of sistuationw here they won't even pick up an option. If what youa re saying is correct it seems that it was the leaders of the team that have had enough of whatever shennaigans went on which really leaves their young core potentially exposed/behind the eight ball without a lot of scrambling. That sucks.

That's it for Pronger,he's gone to the Ducks.

He was traded for RW Joeffrey Lupul, D Ladislav Smid, Ducks 1st round pick in 2007, Ducks 2nd round pick in 2008,and a conditionnal draft pick.

Roloson and Pisani re-sign,Morrison's gone to Phoenix.

There is a thread for the trade so I won't respond here but that is hardly "nothing"; they're lucky to get that much in the Cap era with a player who is demanding a trade. I'd have thought maybe a prospect not quite of the rep of Smid, a 2nd and maybe like a 4th would be about all they'd be able to wrangle.
