I am doing one trophy each day
I beleive we had three rookies last year; Minnesota Titans, Don't Toews Me and HC Franzen.

Okey dokey. GOing to vote on Calder?

Anyway....Decent deal today with our Brazilian friend. Worked hard on that one.

Green is a risk...but have to give it a go. Too much potential for a big bounce back with Adam Oates coaching that team, and Green saying totally healthy.

Still looking to move Luongo, for a LW or for a decent pick. Anyone interested let me know.

Versteeg, Doan, Visnovsky, Jeff Carter (perhaps), O'Reilly and Rene Bourque also available.

We could turn the Calder into a vote. First I want guys to vote for the Masterton.

Low price paid for Green. Could be well worth it.

Can we all please set our trade blocks? Makes looking for trades easier

I took a look, but found it really difficult to decide who I might keep when the Draft is so far way...I did check what position I'm most looking to add (D/G) and I posted a note stating "I'm not a fan of any of the D I have...not a big fan of Lehtonen either but not looking to move him"

I'm not actively looking to trade at this time...I can't believe I'm saying this (after hating them in my youth), but I'm probably more partial to Oilers (I live just blocks away from Rexall)

I can trade either Del Zotto, Wideman or Garrison (both will put up high numbers for sure) as I can't keep all of them. I'm looking for something like one of them plus one of my forwards (outside Hartnell, Hall and Toews) for an upgrade on forward. I got some troubles deciding on keepers.

Forwards (except Hartnell, Hall and Toews) are all available for picks or (together with more players) upgrades in some way.

Also Backström is up for grabs as I will go with Rinne. Look for a huge leap forward with Backs as he got a great team in front of him and is healthy. Draft picks or in combination with any of the deals mentioned above.

I hope you find something interesting!

Edit: I meant friggin Toews instead of Zetterberg!

Am I imagining things or did Mike Green just get traded for less than a 15th round pick?

Well, the keeper rounds are also counted. But it's low anyway.

Right and there are, what, 8 keeper rounds? So this is basically Mike Green + 10th Round pick for a 7th Round pick. =D>

edit - ok - there are 10 keeper rounds. Regardless - props to badad. That is a straight up rip off. :notworthy:

Not even a shot at a guy like Del Zotto? 8th in PRK last season and 13th in the summer pre-season one.

I do not see the Green trade as a rip off.
First off, he wasn't going to be a keeper for the Red Army. Corinthians move up three rounds for a guy that wasn't going to stick around. Fair deal to me

The keeper rules haven't changed have they? I've noticed that I can keep 10 forwards if i wanted to...

Do we still have to pick 6 F, 3 D, 1 G?

6F, 3 D, 1 G is what we can keep.
I'll have a look and see if the game somehow has missed that...

THat deal is NOT a rip off. I was really straining to give up what I did to get Green. And if he is the Green of last year....I got ripped off.

As for a 7th for Luongo....hmmm...Do you mean 17th? Yeah I dunno.

I've now turned down a couple different GM trade proposals, and thought I'd mention...I'm very unlikely to trade at this time; for me it's way to early to be making trades (isn't the Draft in late September?)...my focus is currently on editing the 1974 db and my DMA team, and my MHL team will be my focus in September (i.e. when training camp starts)

Keeper deadline is Sep. 23.
Most teams will probably be set then so trading will be harder then

I was asked about Simmonds by both you and Batdad, but because he might be one of my keepers I'm not moving him now (and I'm not making such decisions before training camp even starts!)...as I'm not looking to trade (and rarely see value in trading) I'm OK if it's "harder" - it's not me looking to make the moves!

Fire Sale : Vrbata, Seidenberg, Hiller. Also I might trade Hossa or Erickson for a keeper.
