Hey guys, New to the community here. I am in Afghanistan working and when I have free time, games are what I play. Baseball Mogul, Pro Cycling Manager, Fifa Manager etc.... and of course my long time favorite EHM 2007. I bought it back in Sept 07 and it has been a regular in my life since then. Never updated rosters, just played the vanilla game and edited myself into the game on my beloved Red Wings. Then last week my Toshiba I bought in 2007 finally died. 5 great years from that laptop in this harsh environment. But I lost my EHM 07. So I loaded the game onto my new laptop, got it working and found this website. I downloaded the newest Manimal rosters and downloaded the PG Editor 1.7. I have changed a Red Wing player (Conner) to be me. Edited the stats, name, everything. When I saved the database I show up on the Red Wings Staff list in the editor, but when I start the game, I am not on the roster, the Conner guy who I edited to be me is on the roster. Can someone help me out with what I am doing wrong? All I can see is to save the database when I get done editing. The Manimal database is in the game directory in data/database/manimal 4.2 like I think it is supposed to be fromn what I read. One thing. When I unzipped the database it wouldn't "find the path" to extract straight to the EHM 2007 directory. I had to extract it to a folder, then copy/paste it to the database directory.
Well guys, It is great to see such an old game being supported so well by the community. I am hoping someone can help me get myself onto my Red Wings roster.
Thank you in advance,
Scott in Kabul

Re: Using Pre Game Editor 1.7
Welcome to The Blue Line! I think you are probably living in rather more extreme conditions than the rest of us here!
Are you running Windows 7 by any chance? Difficulties can arise with Windows 7 if you do not use the "Run as Admin" option when loading the Pre Game Editor. If you don't select this option then the database is saved to the wrong place (if I remember rightly, it is C:\Users\<<username>>\AppData\Roaming\Sports Interactive\EHM 2007\) and the database located in the correct \data\database\manimal 4.2\ folder is not updated.
There are two solutions:
1) Try looking in C:\Users\<<username>>\AppData\Roaming\Sports Interactive\EHM 2007\ to see if there is a duplicate copy of your database there. If there is, move it across to the correct place (i.e. \data\database\manimal 4.2\).
2) Re-load the Editor using the Run as Admin option and make your changes again.
As a general rule, I always use the Run as Admin option when loading EHM and when loading the Pre Game Editor because it helps avoid any difficulties. To use Run as Admin, right-click on the EHM or Pre Game Editor exe file -> Properties -> Compatibility -> Run this program as administrator.
