Scored a ton of goals and won a ton of awards. I played every game through no matter the result. I used the RED_Barrage Tactic. Sikora is apparently the Hasek regen and Whitfield is the Cam Neely regen. Whitfield went on to win pretty much every award he was eligible for. This was his rookie season. He will be called up to the Islanders next year. Sikora (drafted 39 overall in second round) was not eligible for any awards because he did not play enough games. I rotated him with Garnett the entire season although I rode Sikora throughout the playoffs until the finals where Garnett took over. I lost 4-2 to San Antonio. My guys were tired, and my tactics weren't effective anymore. Sucks that I lost almost more games in the playoffs than the entire season combined!

The first season I've reached something like 65 wins I was happy, thinking I was improving my skills but after 4-5 seasons it's boring. So I started new game with teams that sucks to rebuild them and when I start winning again, I start all over. Anyway I prefer to have won just 68 rather than 81, it's like playing NHL on rookie and before you start playing you already knows the results.
I jump from team to team, now. I stuck with the Stars until 2040, Jumped to Colorado, built them in, Jumped to Minnesota, Buffalo, SJ, LA, ect.
Each time i set the team up for the future and current success before i leave, The AI takes over and they are 25-30th in 2 seasons time.
So now i treat the NHL like its the NCAA. 4 years with the same players(on the pro Roster) then it's waiver's/trades for everybody. Keeps things interesting but is still way too easy.
