Question about HC coaching games

Post by Gossler1 »

I have tried a few seasons with the Carolina Hurricanes using the updated unfaking rosters, with the head coach taking control of the bench, tactics, and lines and the team is usually lucky to break .500. I have also seen them go on a 21 game losing streak. Do teams usually perform worse when the head coach in in control instead of me doing the tasks myself? I understand the Canes may have overachieved this season in some peoples eyes, but I am consistantly getting poor results with the current General Manager options I have set. Anyone else experience similar issues?

It is much, much, much better to set all line and tactics yourself. Practices make a big difference as well. There's a few topics around here already on this subject, have a look around.

The quality of your head coach is important too,as you can imagine ;) In fact, all the staff is important, furthemore if you let them do the job for you...

Have a look around to the other threads... Download the Walkthrough Guide,if it isn't done.

But the best way remains already the same: take full control of your team! At least, you won't be able to complain that your looses are due to the IA ;)

My teams usually do very well when I leave it to my coach.

And I think it's because he's the AI and knows right away whats happening... where with me, I'm left in the dark about everything, and am forced to take wild stabs when making any changes to a set of bad tactics. :dunno:

Plus, the coaches ability plays a huge role as well... but that's pretty obvious ;)
