You can change the way a player is designated with the "set player status" command in game. Not sure if you really meant that or just think the Schneider should play better than Luongo.
I'm 29 games into a 2012 season as the Canucks and so far Schneids IS outperforming Lou.

I suspect the status at start-up might connect to start-up CA and Reputation...looking in the PreGame Editor Luongo has a 181 CA and Home Reputation (and a 190 PA) while Schneider has a 154 CA and Home Reputation (and a 170 PA)
Thanks Archi.... but doesnt work. Thank for the try, i wont told you to retry again..... but the only ways i found to download something is an attached files on a post on this forum. Some download here have no links outside of the website too download the files... juste a EHM blue line address with the files at the end like 2005-2006 roster we can found on the roster download section.

It was mentioned in another thread that Jonathan Quick was a free agent after 1 year so I checked in game and he is on his last year of the old contract. However he should have a new 10 year contract with a 5.8m/yr cap hit.

Both these guys have signed contract extensions but they do not kick in until 2013-2014. They are in the db with their 2012-2013 cap hit as this is the db for 2012-2013
Some minor edits for the Habs:
Houle, Boivin, and Gainey are no longer involved with hockey operations. Gainey is actually now a consultant for the Dallas Stars. Houle and Boivin can be deleted from the game. Geoff Molson is the president and Scott Mellanby (in the game as a St. Louis Blues assistant) is the director of personnel.
As already mentioned, Rick Dudley has joined the club as one of two assistant GMs (Carriere is the other).
Missing 3-4 scouts, but space is limited so that's no problem.
A couple of British players who slipped through the net and need retiring:
Jon Cotton (28/10/74)
Lee Cowmeadow (16/02/77)
Nick Cross (07/04/76)
Daniel Heslop (15/05/79)
John Ross (30/10/78) - Make him a scout (Non-player CA: 30 PA: -3)
Ben Pitchley (24/04/73) - Make him the GM/Head Coach of Slough Jrs (Non-player CA: 10 PA: -2)
A couple of transactions that need implementing (these players are UFA in the database):
Neil Hay (08/01/84) -> Edinburgh Capitals (Contract Expiry: 30/04/2016)
Miroslav Sekac (20/11/86) -> MsHK Zilina
Petr Stoklasa (18/04/89) -> SK Kadan
Make the following players UFA:
Daniel Berry (05/03/88)
Sam Roberts (14/11/84)
And Bradford Bulldogs need to be make an extinct/inactive team.

I don't think it's possible to have two assistant GM.
Jimmy Howard signed a 2 year extension in January I believe. I'll try to go through the list of UFA's and see if any more need extensions if thats ok with you?

Please make a list. I would suggest looking over all teams at capgeek.com as some might have signed in the game
Tyler Willis is active in the DB but is retired, I'm fairly sure. He last played in 09-10 and my understanding is he showed up as a spectator in Kalamazoo for a few ECHL games a year or two ago and was asked by some fans if he was coming back, and that he was not and had moved on in another business venture (I think he was working on getting certified for selling insurance?).
Probably one of the last of his breed too. Never was a huge fan of him like some in Kalamazoo were (one would have to imagine they never watched Kevin Evans), but still you don't see guys at much of any level anymore capable of putting up 300 PIM and still scoring 15-20 Goals and 50-60 Pts.
I noticed that William Carrier (Probably 1st round pick in 2013) isn't even in the game. And then Tomas Hertl doesn't have any draft history.. He was drafted #17 in first round 2012 by San Jose Sharks and they own his rights.

I can't find Jonsson in the db ... odd enough. I'm not creating him because I wnat to be sure, but can you check if he's there? What does Rundqvist do now? We can try and see what can be done
There is something strange with the Jörgen Jönsson entry in the 5.0 db. Looks like a mix of two individuals. Perhaps the wrong Jönsson got retired and some attributes have been set for the other guy. He should be this onehttp://www.eliteprospects.com/staff.php?staff=369
Rundqvist is now Director of Future Development so put him as Director of Personnel. That is the closest one
