I'm running Chrome and it's doing the same thing that CeeBee posted a screenshot of.

It's working fine on my Chrome.bruins72 wrote:I'm running Chrome and it's doing the same thing that CeeBee posted a screenshot of.

Try hitting refresh twice. If not, clear your cache and see if that fixes it (if not, hit refresh twice again). Let me know if that works. If not, I'll try and take a look after Boxing Day.

Sometimes hitting F5 will reload the page. Should be a couple of ways to clear the cache. In Opera I go to tools/preferences/advanced/history/ clear cache now button. I can also dump temp files, cookies, caches etc with ccleaner.
edit* after dumping the cache I would close the browser and the re-open it and it should load the latest page available*

I'm on Chrome. Also, my browser is in Finnish and I don't know what represents clearing the "cache" in my own language. Is it page history? Cookies?

hmmmm not cookies but it might be page history though that might mean pages/links you have been to which show up usually in a different color that non visited links . I just opened chrome and for me its the third item down the list in settings/clear browser data. 1 is clear browser history. 2- clear download history. 3- empty the cache. 4-delete cookies..etc.
I also have a drop down menu at the top of this list that lets you choose to delete data from 1 week, 1 month forever etc.
Hope this helps
Merry xmas as well to everybody

Here is a guide on how to clear/empty the cache for the various browsers (Chrome, IE, Firefox, Opera, Safari, etc): http://www.wikihow.com/Clear-Your-Browser's-Cache

Re: New Header Design - Feedback, Browser Issues, Etc
I dunno how to do a screen shot but the picture don't do the size of my page and the search option is alone in the right corner. I also have that huge blue gap between the picture and the topic where I see alot of categories of the forum. I'm on Chrome too.
Edit: I did what Ceebee wrote and it seem to work fine now...

Re: New Header Design - Feedback, Browser Issues, Etc
Hopefully everybody can see that the header image has now changed from the Winter Classic to an image of Gretzky (but the images on the Challenge and DMHNL pages always stay the same). Sorry to keep going on about the header image, it's just that this is the first time the automated image changing has come into action (the image automatically changes on the 1st of each month).

Re: New Header Design - Feedback, Browser Issues, Etc
That's a fair point. The reason for switching from random to monthly is due to bandwidth management. The previous header image was a lighter load on the server (the new design is roughly double the file size). This new one is larger to look at and larger in file size. Removing the random images is a way of compensating for the increase in file size and bandwidth. We've been dogged in recent months by occasional server slowdowns and so I want to keep the bandwidth usage down in order to mitigate the amount of slowdown suffered in the event we suffer from these problems again.Animal31 wrote:I miss the randobanner, and im not even entirely active

Re: New Header Design - Feedback, Browser Issues, Etc
Sorry to dig an old topic, but I have a problem to which I've tried every solution (clear cache) I can find, but it's a short list and I can't find a fix on Google, despite numerous searches.
The forums just simply don't display for me on Chrome.

Using Chrome 27.0.1453.116m and it's up to date. Forum displays perfectly on Firefox (what I'm using to type this) and IE. Other phpBB boards display ok.
Any ideas?

Hey Joey! Long time no speak!
The most likely explanation is that a Google Chrome extension is interfering with the page. Maybe something like an Ad-Blocker? Try disabling all of your extensions, clearing you cache (again!) and then restarting Chrome. If the page displays okay then you'll need to re-enable your extensions one by one until you find out which one is causing the issue.
