The "good" thing is that he didn't got through to the final stages, he was knocked out at the auditions, that was just a special appearance.timmy_t wrote:

A jury member, a big hockeyfan, said that he should stick to what he is good at: playing hockey, not sing.

Wow... these guys are terrible! And I'm surely not getting the most out of what I have. I'm 7 games into the season and we're 1-5-1. Our 3 points are the worst in the league. Our PK is horrible (70%) and our PP is just okay (17%). The encouraging this is that we've been in most of those games. We only lose by a goal or two.

Haha Bernier out 4 months just when i was abotu to win a few games, this is a disaster. ](./images/smilies/wallbash.gif)
Edit:wow worse than that getting 9 GPG now since haha
That gave Owuya a chance despite his rapping skills and he became rookie of the month desoite loosing games with 5 or more GAA all over
This Adam Oates is just crazy

How on earth are you simming so fast while coaching games? Maybe it's me caring too much about tweaking the details of this shipwreck team. Anyone else having troubles with JM Liles being abysmal defensively and getting beat all the time?
The upside is the Marlies are doing very well!
EDIT: Finally turning it around! I figured the only way to counter our awful defense is to score alot. Up to 4.13GPG, first in the league and just beat the Sens 8-2. Not the preferred way to play but I'll take it.

In season 1 I managed to qualify to the playoff, but got beat with 4-0 in games against Carolina.
But one big surprise was Grabovsky who got more than 90 assists and had 137 points.

Surprise indeed, I'm about 15 games in and he's holding down a 9.00 AvR right now! I think he reacts well to an aggressive playstyle.joehelmer wrote:In season 1 I managed to qualify to the playoff, but got beat with 4-0 in games against Carolina.

Someone had to replace the near constant 10 rated Sundin from the original game...I figured it'd be too obvious if it was Kessel, though about Lupul, but went for Grabovsky

I started out at 1-5-0 (including a 9-0 loss to Winnipeg - ugh) then Phaneuf got a 2-week injury and everything started to click... I'm now 11-10-2!
Also, I should have grabbed a screenshot, but Tim Thomas ended up retiring due to "a recurring injury"... guess the LOA gets counted as an injury somehow???

LOL> So true to real life...get rid of a clown and things get better. I can imagine how Phaneuf is ruining the team. Hey everyone this is Ms Cuthbert....LOL.
Who knows with TT....the game could have just given him a random injury at the start of the year, or maybe this is the way the boys decided to deal with him so he could not play, and at his age...he retired due to the injury.
My feeling is we should just take him out of the db all together anyway...but up to them.

Thomas retired in my game as well. Im now 20 games into season 1 and its pretty rough. We are in 14th place with 15 pts.I sent Kadri down to the AHL after he started and sucked in the first 7 games. He is doing great there, so maybe there is hope down the road for him. I made a mistake and kept Gardiner up and he is really struggling. I cant send him down without putting him on waivers so I think I’ll bring up Kostka and split games with them. The only bright spot is the PP running at a league best 24.8% Also a personal best for me.

I'm most likely going to make the playoffs this season. (Season 2). I was able to sign Mike Smith to a 3 year deal 2 $3,000,000 per season. My team is really clicking right now as well. I lost Lupul, MacArthur and others to UFA. But I was able to make up for it via trade. I traded Kenny Ryan for David Booth. David Booth got buried in the minors by the Canucks so I went out and got him. One of the best trades I've ever made in a challenge. Didn't expect him to be playing this well. He has 35G, 36A, 71P in 48G, with an Av R: 8.41. Kadri is also playing well with 38P in 66G. You have to be patient with him. My lines are:
Grabovsky - Connolly - Kessel
van Riemsdyk - Kadri - Kulyomin
Booth - Colborne - Biggs
Deschamps - McClement - Frattin
Liles - Phaneuf
Gunnarsson - Kostka
Gardiner - Komisarek
Holzer
Smith
Owuya
with 70GP, I have 82P and I'm in 7th.

How is Gardiner working out for you? I put him and Kadri in the minors at the very start of the first season.francis246 wrote:I'm most likely going to make the playoffs this season. (Season 2). My team right now would probably lose every game if we didn't have the top 3 scorers in the NHL. Defense is just awful with Phaneuf and Gunnarsson being the only capable players right now.

I put Gardiner on waivers after 2 seasons or so , he was claimed and i never regrettet it, kadri is actually a good 3rd line center down the road if you give him time.

Gardiner has been average, I think Rielly will take his spot in a season or two. Or I may sign a UFA defenseman to replace him. He's expandable IMO.umwoz wrote:How is Gardiner working out for you? I signed Mike Smith as starting goalie for season 2, he wanted to have over $3.000.000 per year, but I managed to get the salary down to $2.900.000 per year and a cap hit of $2.922.000 per year.
