I got Rinne (awesome!), Bryz (what happened to him?) and Theodore as goalies.
Who is the best goalie right now, on of the stars?
No, Theodore!

Edit: Also three players injured, one DTD and two on Out!

Saw that one injury. Want to move him? :-D

argh.....argh...argh.. The Goons got that magic shorthanded point. I knew as soon as I looked at the site and it was 6-6-0 instead of 6-5-1. I need to score or get some magic myself.

Note: I am shocked that the game is as close as it is right now. Shocked I tell you. I knew my goalies would keep me in it,....but when you are down 10-1 in goals and 4-0 in GWG after the first night...you figure you are done (FYI now 17-15 and 4-3). NEED GOALS, SHorties and GWG. BAD

Actually I'm almost thinking about it. I'll probably wait a while and pray for Briere to at least get Hartnell to IR. Feel free to hit me with offers for one of my injured players, though I can't promise anything.
I just realized that Flyers are cursed! Too bad I have many of them.
Hartnell and Briere are injured.
Bryz looks like last season.
Couturier and Read are underperforming.

At least the current game looks decent for them but I just benched Bryz for this game...

You can come to me too you know. :-D

I would be interested in Read, and/or Bryz. Not superstar interested....but interested. (BTW Guys like Callahan are stars in this as you know) Hartnell at this point at the right price I would put on my IR.

Not interested in Couturier.

Patrick Marleau is a god right now. 1/3 of my goals this week. 1/2 my GWG this week, 2 of my assists. Many of my shots. Kid is making it possible for me to win this week. Well that, my goaltending, my shot blockers and my stellar goon Mike Ribiero.

I absolutely cannot believe I am now tied in goals with Glasgow Goons. They were up 10-1 on me after day 1.
I absolutely cannot believe iam tied in GWG as he was up 4-0 after day 1.
I absolutely can believe I am winning the goaltending hands down,
I can believe I am winning shot blocking.

I can believe I am getting my arse kicked in assists. I have a ton of Cy yOung winners.

I can believe Jeff Carter, David Legwand and Olivier Latendresse suck donuts.

But I cannot believe that I have a legitimate shot at winning this match. No way it will happen.

Goaltending is going to be an ongoing issue for me.
+/- is awful as well. Going to be a close one methinks.

Is tonight the last matchups of the week?

Nope. We play through games Sunday. I would wish you good luck, but I don't mean it. LOL.

Again after this week is finished...we may be able to work out something that will help my team get some assists and help you with your goaltending issue. Just can't do it now, because it could cost me (or you) the week. if you want to gamble that it will not...let me know. :-D

No...there is no telling. We are tied in two categories. You outdo me by 1 in those and you win. Plus minus is a really topsy turvy thing...I have seen things change by 10 -15 points in one day in that category. It is anybody's ball game there....not quite the lottery SHP are .... but close.

Headline: Goons completely outgooned by Senitals. 136 pims has got to be a record for one game in Minstrel league. Clowe 35 today. Exactly why I traded for him. I think I out groomed most of the teams in the league just with my over 50 penalty minutes today. Goons Marleau Niemi Hiller and blocks. What a performance from my team. Absolutely stunned.

Now if I could only win a playoff game.

I am actually working on records. Almost done. However, it will only be for the seven-day game weeks so yours will not count

My team really went hot lately, though losing guys like Hartnell for half a season will hurt me in the long run. Lets rack up points while we're hot hot hot! :notworthy:

Boo. I can give you one. 14 straight wins from season start. Year 1 for me. Or was it 12? Anyway I am sure it is a record.
Work on worst weeks? Lol

Since we could not get in touch with Catch Up, I have invited JoeHelmer to be the new owner of Cammalleri and Meatballs.

well done Batdad, got my a$$ handed to me to be honest. Although you would probably have beaten most teams this week with those numbers. Just re-emphasised my need for a more regular goalie tho, oh and anyone that can get positive +/-!!!!

Wahoo Joe is back. Going to kick his arse all over just like always.

Guys all you have to do is put up pictures of pretty girls and Joe will be so lost he will completely botch everything. Maybe will trade you his best goalie for a bucket of pucks...

LOL....and the girl does not really have to be pretty. Pretty much if appears to be female...he will get distracted. And yeah, I meant appears to be female...may not even actually have to be female...just somewhat close...well...maybe not even close, just not hairy.. Wait...maybe he is into hairy. :-D

tinyheed--I believe by looking I would not have beaten Corinthians for sure. Others I may have managed most of them, Did not look at Manimals team, another team that usually is near the top. Corinthians is always a good team

Not really sure....but I am thinking by looking at things that you took over the Kent Mighty Turnips from Archi. I was going to say the Lake Alajarvi Bald Eagles...but it appears they were in the league in your first season of 2011.

So...the other names that changed from 2010-2011 when the Surahammer Sloppy Slippers showed up are Boras (Manimal), Chilliwack Marauders (Eric Dyck), and The Mustangs (Adam Cherry)....

Boras is now Wild Boars---still Manimal
Chilliwack is now Concussion Junction--Still Eric
The Mustangs are now Black Bears FHC--Still ADam Cherry

SO that leads me to believe that you took over archi's woeful team of 2010.

This was his year end roster:

[quote] Arnott, Ott, T Ruutu, S Kozlov, Holmstrom, O'Brien, Grebeshkov,Gilbert, Avery, Burrows, Franzen, Clarkson, Zajac, Doan, Koistinen, Tim Thomas, Rinne[/quote}

at the end of 2011 you still had Burrows, Ruutu, Zajac and Rinne.

By the end of 2012 you had dumped Burrows to me and Ruutu was gone. Zajac disaapeared as well, but has now returned to you.

At least you still have Rinne and Zajac.

Yeah, I remember the name Kent Mighty Turnips and how I disliked the team at first and as you can see many of them are retired, in other leagues or simply brutal now. I would not say no to Burrows though but he is Captain Toews now and I may have stole the Sedin brothers new Burrows in Kassian.

All in all I can't really complain about the evolution of my team as I dodged a couple of bullets. Though I'm actually surprised that Wideman on a struggling Flames is keeping up with Suter on a struggling Wild team, I thought it would bite me from the start but it still got time to do it.

In week one I lost (4-5-3) but I really enjoyed watching the final games on the final night while keeping an eye on the box score! 8-)

Yeah it is fun to do that...sometimes. I Got real widdled at Jeff Carter in LA-EDm game though. Real mad. Had the GWG which I needed at the time, and takes a dumb arse penalty...which I clearly did not need....and Yakupov celly. Ugh.

Other times--Marleau, MArleau all week. ANd Clowe and BIeksa last night...it is fun. Man I beat 4 teams PIM totals for all 8 days in 1 day. LOL

Another tight one for me. What a match up. And who the heck is this Cory Conacher kid? Gotta say.... I did it again. Free Agent pick ups are my specialty. Last year Callahan and Henrique. Year before that Selanne, Doan. Niemi somewhere along the way.

I know even a blind squirrel finds a nut once in awhile....but I have had alot of success gambling on guys here and there.

Now...>Vancouver Chicago. Bieksa-Seabrook need to scrap at least once. Burrows needs to pull hair and get a gross misconduct. I need the bloodbath. Lets roll boys.

Sure. You can have my friend from Washington. With a other bad game from Holtby he should be the starter now. Course it will cost
