There will soon be an arguement over what that means. Is a few 2,3,6,8,21???? Such exciting times. Let me know when the game comes out please. Then I will start reading about how the players in the Swedish leagues are way too good, the players on the Rangers are way too bad, and of course that the Maple Leafs are too good no matter how bad they are rated. I cannot wait for those days.

Think I am going to play it for quite some time before I read about it. Maybe I will read here. :-D
that's because the games don't take the pressure of a market into factor. Harry potters second cousin should know that, not sure if the nephew does :)

something that caught my attention on twitter (once again) was this:

Justen Hunter‏@JustenHunter

@FranchiseHockey will there be gm contracts? Aka management gives you a contract and may renew it depending on success?

6hFranchise Hockey Mgr‏@FranchiseHockey

@JustenHunter That should function like OOTP: You can get hired and fired, and you can disable the firing part. No contracts.

Yet Sebastian's had said a few pages back here
In FHM GM's have a contract. When you start unemployed you have to negotiate a contract with any club around the world that has an opening. The offers are based on your experience, so don't expect a NHL offer when you are a greenhorn.

I believe the Twitter feed is wrong (wouldn't be the first time!).

There's an option to disable firings. I haven't seen the contract negotiation feature in the betas I've played, but if Sebastian says it'll be in there then I'm guessing we'll see it either in the first public beta or at some point thereafter.

P.s. Is it just me or is TBL running very slow at the moment? Maybe it's all the buzz from today's FHM announcement?...

Will there be a training camp EHM style, you invite prospect and have intra game etc..(I'm not familiar with OOTP)

How will it work for the future draft, will you be able to create future young prospect?

I think I will be quite busy in March ! =P~

I was wandering is this website will put more attention to FHM in a couple of weeks like they did when we were having some new EHM out? Are going to become the "FHM" fansite, or TBL will still be mostly for EHM?

Yeah, I want to give FHM as much attention as EHM currently has. In fact, I've been re-working the site since about the end of last year to give FHM more prominence and to give the non-forum parts of the site a facelift. I hoped to have it online in time for FHM's release next week, but unfortunately I didn't finish it in time before I started revising for some exams. Once I've got my exams out of the way, it shouldn't take much longer to get the new site online (so maybe towards the end of March).

Inevitably the site will still be predominantly EHM-orientated to start with (seeing as we have nearly 9 years-worth of EHM content on here), but ideally I'd like it to be a 50-50 split in the long term.

Eventually the Challenges will be run for both EHM and FHM at the same time (there will be separate rules and leaderboards for each game) - but we'll first need to test out the game to see how it can be exploited, etc (so we can get appropriate rules in place). However I don't know if it'll be feasible for any Challenges until the first proper release of the game (in September). I'm not sure how suitable beta versions will be for the Challenges (it'll depend on how stable the game is and how frequent new public versions will be released).

Alright, good. Because I've stop playing EHM despite the great and hard work of this community last year. I just couldn't find any interests anymore, but I am hype for FHM and I wanted to make sure TBL would be still doing is awesomness on that new hockey sim! :)

What a load of crud!

Just kidding. :**

No, this site needs to focus on FHM content probably. I love TBN and FHockey, but TBL is probably the premier source for EHM 2007 but the hardcoded limitations of the game are going to be its ultimate downfall. Resources have been put into hacking 2007 because there was no good alternative but, if FHM proves itself worthy you gotta' go in that direction and help drive that game and possibly series. That's the future.

FHockey is still around for the freeware EHM (though after a decade or so it's mostly dead most of the time). TBN has EHM content and users but also has a lot of EA and 2k content and interest, so I see that as more their niche. And there's nothing wrong with that. That leaves this site as the NHL: EHM, 2005, and 2007 focus, and the natural progression would be to then chase FHM as well.

And it'd do FHM a lot of good to have a fan-run source of course.
